Aether shop anyone?

After considering this comment some more, I don't think it came out right. What I meant to say was, artifacts aren't necessarily always meant to pay for themselves. Aether shops, being 1000 credits, are very unlikely to pay for themselves, yet the few people I know that own one wouldn't change it for the world.

I think I know the answer to this one already, but just double checking, do coule/riposte work on monks? How about heftyaxe/heftysword?

I believe only on armed actions.

Does PILOT IMMERSE allow you to siphon without attracting beasts, too? Or does it just prevent you from getting tossed around aetherspace?

It just prevents tossing. It's from back when siphoning carried a risk to randomly fling you around. Nowadays that only happens if you Siphon extra.

with the chromapen, does it come with a way to dispell what you write if you don't have illusions ?

minor bump.

Since I got no answer I am assuming no?

related question: is there a way to dispell illusions of this nature outside of the Illusions skillset?

I think Arts Critique might do it, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yep, Critique will work

A haunting, harmonious note washes over you, clear as the sky and empty as the Void, filling you
with an awe-struck sense of horror. The boundless beauty of the note is matched only by its promise
of endless despair - the beauty of a heart as still as the grave and twice as cold.

What is that?

Warriors might still be the best bashers -flex-

I've been told monks > warriors. But heh, as guardian, probably mostly everything is better, combined with a good race at least laugh.gif

A well-tended aethershop should return those credits after a good while. Not saying it's the best way to make a net gain in the game (although, who knows, it might be, if you're a herbalist or alchemist), but it's not a bad investment if you're willing to take the effort to keep it stocked properly and organise your purchases for the shop well.

When you take into account the opportunity cost of it however, you'll be most likely losing a lot of (potential) money over time.

Perhaps if you focus on profit-gaining goods, such as herbs. Still 6 000 000 in net profit will take quite some time. Even then though, the question remains how much of that net profit you would stil have made even if yo hadn't purchased the shop.

Regardless, that isn't really the object though, aethershops are mainly tools for enjoyment and pride.
Malicia2011-02-05 13:42:09
Aethershops are killing off city-org shop business! But oh well.
