Shafts opens or closes one random exit every second. If you're fighting in a room that only has one exit, sure, it's not random. That doesn't happen most of the time, though. Whether it blocks it or not depends on when the shafts are opening/closing in relation to when the tumble/roll/somersault is started. 50% chance if it's a one exit room and you close your eyes before you cast it.
Ah, as far as we could tell, it was erasing all exits at once, but that may have been because we were in a one normal, one special exit room (Serenside archway), in which case it would always block the exit when tumble was completing, because when it was active on the exit, tumble would not start. As far as we could tell, it also blocked the archway itself. If it only does one random exit, it's not so terribly useful as we thought it was.
Unknown2011-02-10 22:28:44
All shafts does is randomly remove 0 - x number of exits in the room it's dropped, where x is the number of exits in the room. In a room with 5 exits, it can remove all exits, only 3, only one, or none every time it ticks. I think you're making it a lot more complicated than it really is.
Special exits aren't counted, I'm pretty sure, but if it does, cool.

Any collected logs of what aetherbashing and aetherspace PvP are like, and does racial balance effect aethercraft skills?

So and so fires a turret astray.

Well, it's kind of what bashing looks like I guess :S I wonder what the ship to ship combat is like though... also, what about racial mods?

Racial mods don't affect it.
I haven't done much, but I guess replace dragon with ship names, plus them shooting back and uh... the grid healing a lot?

Thanks Arel
Was a skill that carries over the effects of critical hits ever implemented over here?
Did the monk weapon speed changes impact their bashing as well? By how much?

It was envoyed and accepted, but no sign of the skill yet.

Ooh. That does look sexy. Although it'd make Demi-criticals even more potent, since there'd be no waste.

Since that's the only way anyone scales in PvE, really, I'm totally fine with that.

Is there anyway, minus a stockroom (and the auction freezer...) and the , to get something such as vials or esteem (anything that is not jewelry or clothing) to not decay while in something/someplace?

The new origami (can't remember which of them it is) can, but it's a one-shot thing, and the origami itself decays. Other than that... no.
Shulamit2011-02-11 02:51:54
Modular origami can hold 25 items, and when closed, stops the decay of items. It still decays though when closed, so it only last so long.

Are stag swiftstripes equivalent to one level of fast balance? I figure that if so, maybe Winnae could join the Serenguard and be close to where he was before the race changes.
Also, are writhe times randomized? I'm wondering if runes would let ninjakari Winnae use ninshi reliably on non-acrobatics users. I have two cosmic runes that I would hate to waste on a chain if the speed bonus isn't enough.

Not so simple, but if I touch my collar, it get's Lord Lyreth's attention. Now, sometimes if I poke it, hug it, lick it, or do anything to it, it get's His attention too. Is that normal, or is He just being silly?
