Which is a better name for a customized pig nose?
a seasoned loboshigaru nose
OR
a nose of transcendent olfaction

That one, although I think the more natural ones look better when you're actually using them.
Razenth2011-02-24 01:11:59
a furry aslaran nose
Is clearly best.

Did anyone happen to save a list of the artifact packages and prices? (I know you can tell some of the ones that were added by looking at the thread).

On the Testimonials page, where exactly do you submit your testimonial?

What, a whiny, whispy pre-teen? I think there's a clan for those

I don't know how many folks have dwellers, but is there a way to get a dweller to come back to you if it gets left somewhere other than waiting on it to reset to your inventory?
Shulamit2011-02-24 23:04:55
tell dweller come to me. I think it has to be on the same plane of existence though. I left her on a bubble once, had to go back up there to get her.

I have some questions about forging. Is it advisable to keep both swords at the same speed, or will there be a large gap between swings if they're say, 20 points apart? Or does that not matter?
Unknown2011-02-25 19:33:16
You want identical speeds.

Another question. What is the difference between 150 precision, 280 speed compared to 170 precision, 260 speed? Is there an invisible wounding threshold I should keep in mind?
Edit: Also, let's say I placed a Vernal Knight Rune on a weapon with 280 speed. Does the rune break the cap on speed, or is the bonus wasted?

Only know the figures for 1-handers I'm afraid, but what was advised to me for unruned weapons was
Hunting: 115/85/280
Combat: 33/197/250
Unfortunately, not many active people in Sentinels with a Mallet of Forging around since Casilu left, but persistent asking on Market will hopefully net you someone willing to tweak them for you, unless you don't mind spending a load on steel.
Tetra2011-02-25 19:45:01
I don't mind the steel costs. I wouldn't want to Rune a sword and have it go to waste, though. Thanks for the advice on the hunting set, I'll try that.
Ushaara2011-02-25 20:00:58
Regarding runing, again I can only offer advice I was given not having any myself. Go for the wounding runes before stat runes.
If you take a look through the last pages of the (outdated) Weapon Stats thread over in the Combat section, general consensus seemed that +10 on speed was equivalent to ~0.1 balance. If that has changed?
Unsure on how the stat increases affect wounding, though I seem to recall someone testing that recently, Xenthos maybe? (No wait, I think that was how strength affected wounding...)

I use one set of weapons both for hunting and for fighting. I never found the perceived advantages from faster or higher damage weapons to be worth having two sets. Make them for fighting and use them for hunting, too.
Your weapons are limited in the total stats when being runed, but there is no individual cap on any one stat, so the rune will be able to put you over the forging cap. (My weapons total up to 568 each now.)
No runes are really worth the credit cost, in my opinion, except to make the weapon an artifact with the first one. The stat bonuses do very little for you, but at least those will boost your hunting and your fighting. Wounding/bleeding runes do nothing at all for hunting. Elemental runes are cool.

When an item is rejected for typos (oops) and needs to be resubmitted, is it better to flag it as 'no mortal review'? From what I understand of the process, things can get stuck in limbo.
(This is not a critique - thank you mortal reviewers, you have been really prompt with decisions lately and it is appreciated.)

I've seen someone have about 300 speed, so yes.

That's unfortunate to hear. So you'd be better off trying to forge something with the highest score possible?

There is still a max cap you can forge/temper weapons up to. The max cap before you're allowed to put weapon runes on is lower than the forging cap.
Non-runed weapons have a cap on total stats of 480. Putting artifact runes on a weapon requires the stats be no more than 463 (pre-runes).
