Yeah, perhaps. The way the Supernal situation worked was by pulling enemies out of the room and leave the actual killing to the Supernal.

And to think, one SHIFT REALITY would totally mess that group up.

Not if they're standing at an smob

We did meet, and we killed all the spheres, and most of our group survived. Maybe 4-5 of our group died, compared to more of theirs.

Careful, you keep talking like that and people are going to mistake you for wartortle

Doesn't seem to work anymore.

I have a manse for one of my characters (not Noola) and these are the perms I set to enter it, I want anyone isn't my character's enemy, an enemy of her org, guild or Order, and not members of three other orgs to be able to enter it. Those are the only folks I want kept out, everyone else is welcome in.

People who meet the following conditions may enter your fulcrux:
is not enemy of (my character)
...with the following exceptions...
except is an enemy of the (my character's guild)
OR
except is an enemy of the (my character's org)
OR
except is an enemy of the (my character's Order)
OR
except is a member of the (bad news org one)
OR
except is a member of the (bad news org two)
OR
except is a member of the (bad news org three)

Is that right? Permissions confuse the crud out of me! laugh.gif

you are now able to use ANYONE as a valid permission, which seems to be easier in most cases as you just have the 'anyone' permission and just add exceptions of people you want to keep out.

Ok... But is what I've got as far as the excepts right? confused.gif

Cause, if I used 'anyone' I'd still use the same excepts, wouldn't I?

Why do permissions have to be so confusing? crying.gif

Tully's broom was an auction arti, but I think they gave him one for free.

I do not believe this would work the way you want it to. I expect it would allow anyone who is not an enemy and is ALSO a member of one of those orgs or whatever to enter. Using the Anyone would help fix this.

Does exploring in a dreambody count in Explorer rankings?

Why also? I thought the whole meaning of the word 'except' was that anyone except them could do it?? confused.gif I hate permissions! laugh.gif

except in lusternia permissions means: no matter what do not allow this group in the manse
You just need to have one permission before the excepts.

I wish we could have a 'no matter what allow these people in the manse' function too sad.gif

So, the way I have it set now does not mean 'people who are not enemies of me can come in, unless you're an enemy of my guild, my org, my order or if you are a member of this, that or this other org?' Cause that's how it reads to me. What is it actually saying instead?

I'm not trying to be obstinate, I'm just trying to learn how I'm misunderstanding the system (other than completely! laugh.gif )

Well..it's the same, actually. Though, for example, "point staff ice" yields the usual Pointing your staff...icy water..etc message, where the water seemingly flows from your staff towards the target. "Point staff ice devil", on the other hand, would yield this:

You aim your staff at a monstrous ice devil and icy water erupts forth to the ether.
A barrage of icy water crashes in from the ether and pounds at a monstrous ice devil's flesh,
knocking the breath out of him.

I find it better.sad.gif

It does not, no.

That's a typo sort of bug with the staff command. If you don't specify a valid direction, it should give you a syntax warning instead.
