Do the Great Runes of influence stack?
Illidor2011-07-05 03:18:24
Why hasn't the lag been fixed? It's been present for at least 2 weeks and it isn't just me.

Last time I was logged in my response time was half of what it was before.

I've e-mailed artifacts whether two of the same influence rune on different jewelry would work, and the reply was no. Not sure if that's what you mean though.

What is that burning chill?
A burning chill flows through your veins.
Your body warms up and you stop shivering.

Vileblood. You're undead due to UndeadBlues.

I don't believe they do, else you might catch a load of people walking around with 5x each. Worth emailing support about, though.

The general rule of thumb regarding artifacts are "If it's not explicitly stated, they don't stack".

and here I thought it was the other way around seeing as other artifact runes say they don't stack.
but thanks for the answers.

"Physicial damage" DMP... I've read through this in dozens of AB's. Does that cover cutting, blunt, cutting&blunt, or strictly a PVE defense? Would like clarity here.

Damage has two confusingly named but separate things to know about it. First is the source which can be Physical or Magical. Second is the type which can be cutting, blunt, fire, electricity, cold, psychic, asphyxiation, poison, or (to add extra confusion) magic. Every damage has both a Source and a Type, and they can be any combination (though some are more typical than others). You have to watch carefully to see if someone's talking about Source or Type, particularly since the files don't always tell you which one they mean (and when it comes to the word "magic" you sometimes can't tell at all).

So you can have physical source damage with aspyxiation type (such as in a Nekotai oothai choke) as opposed to Night's nightkiss that has a magical source with aspyx/cold type? Then do some defensive abilities add DMP to source or type? For example, would Lowmagic's Blue protect against both, even though they are from different sources. Also, does Source: Magic have it's own DMP weighting compared to Type:Magic?
EDIT: Resilience = defense against physical source, whereas (low/high)magic protects against a magical source?
Enyalida2011-07-05 16:40:03
I think that all dmp refers exclusively to type, not source. I've always assumed that barkskin (and similar defenses) give 18 dmp to blunt and 18 dmp to cutting.
Lendren2011-07-05 16:43:08
I think that this is one of those things that Estarra meant when she said it's way more complex internally than we think.

Sounds complicated. Does titan still give +1 to all stats?

Easy answer to this one. YES.

And I know that I've asked this before... but need a DMP clarification. Stealth Elasticity gives protection against physical attacks, or against bodily wounds?

Quick question - Acrobatics and Psychometabolism, what're the pros and cons of each?

Just go acrobatics unless you need the regen stuff.

There is no such thing. Acrobatics elasticity gives DMP against attacks that wound. Stealth bracing is straight DMP to physical I think.
