I still think bonecrusher+Necromancy is the way to go for BC.

Yeah, I'd like to see how that compares myself. Would have preferred if timewarp had kept a balance malus (if slightly buffed), rather than the switch to quicksilver malus it received.

Wasn't it balance and eq?
Ushaara2011-07-28 19:38:17
It was, but that was what I had meant with balance malus anyway!
Ilyssa2011-07-28 19:47:57
None of you Aeonics people are going for the Aeonfield/raze combo I keep mentioning. :L

If it was bad, there was a psychotic combo that Institute members could do.

I think Aslaran BC Templar is a more interesting matchup than Necromancy. Better strength by quite a bit, stacked stupidity, and the extra perk provided by Goodluck for ridiculously fast bashing. Would be less tanky, but people won't be as used to fighting it either.

Being able to stack all the command rejection is somewhat cool (someone try this, I guess), but deathweapon/deathmark with off-balancing galore is 'fun' to fight against.

Weren't the 5-min revolts supposed to be fixed? I thought I read that (this isn't a rant, honest question).

No, they still exist when we've got great leaders spending that time to ask if we're going for the village.

Does anyone have any hard numbers on FocusPoisons in Tracking?

Five minutes can still happen if the organization influencing has +3 feelings and all the village mobs influenced. Thank the heavens for Village Feelings and their ability to spread around the villages across organizations!

Are there any current clients for Macs? It seems as if most popular ones are for PC only...

Mudlet has been a godsend. I'm on Mac, and I've never had to lament the loss of my PC.

Too busy lamenting your acquisition of a Mac?
I dislike Macs, except for artist/art, then they're okay, kinda.
Illidor2011-07-29 20:28:02
No, Druken meant that in switching to Mac, he hasn't felt bad at all from switching from Windows. Depending on your career/needs, mac would be the way to go. Like, for me, I'm going to be an Astrophysics graduate student: I need something *nix based, and with most of the astrophysics programs, that are gold standards, written with UNIX in mind, I'll be running on Mac (dual-booting with Linux, possibly tri with windoze if I need it). /side-statement

How many mid to top tier combatants have actually programmed their own system, opposed to running purchased systems?
Edit: That wording sounds kind of more aggressive than I wanted, I'm just curious as to if writing your own system is necessary for top-tier, or if in fact it's not really necessary to write your own? I'm writing my own, hopefully, and am looking to see if that's the norm or in the minority.

Can someone else's pliers be used to remove runes from weapons, or are they user-runes only?

Wholly writing one's own system definitely goes into the minority. Most people purchase one and configure it to their own needs most of the time.
