So on those really (un)lucky days when Hallifax is messing with time warps you can use them once every 10 - 20 minutes!
Xiel2010-08-10 20:18:40
Ew. Would've considered buying those instead of shelling out the weight for refresh me, but no thanks. Guess I'll need to re-think me being an Astrologer if me sphering up myself and other people will empty me out each RL day.

Does this line in HELP PETS:
Custom beasts must make sense as beasts (i.e., not humanoid beings or other
creatures that would be inappropriate as beasts) that you could (at least) be
able to ride.
Mean that we can't buy non-ridable custom pets anymore, or that they just can't be beasts if they're non-ridable?

I think this is because custom beasts can be trained to ride after the fact. Or they used to be.

I think you can get a pet that just follows you around if you get it as a manse dweller. Might email support on that one.
Eventru2010-08-11 02:17:02
If you want a sentient thing (human, viscanti, fae, whatever) you can buy them as manse dwellers (HELP DWELLERS)
Esano2010-08-11 02:17:08
You can't buy non-ridable custom pets. You can, however, invest in a manse dweller instead. But it can't use beastmastery stuff.
EDIT: Oh wow, multininja.

I don't want anything sentient; I'm interested in a bird that's strictly for RP. About the size of a parrot, so obviously not ridable. Can I have a dweller without a manse? And could it still be made to fly or retrieve things?
I can switch to asking this stuff from support if I'm getting too complicated for forums.

I really don't understand the stage system and when you can submit plays and so on and so forth. I've had it explained a few times, but it's all varied and I've issued myself regarding it but no answer yet.
Does it have to be at the city's own stage?
When can it be done?
I don't seem to have the Stage Submit verbs, when attempting to all I get is the list, am I doing the verb wrong?
And anything else I may have missed.

What you are looking for is a dweller that resets to your inventory. Dwellers essentially are used for humanoid beings and creatures which you cannot or do not want to have as a beast. I purposely didn't use the term sentient because it is a power that a dweller or beast can have to allow you to make it speak and emote.

You do it at the city's Stage. It's always on odd numbered years, and you have to do it in the first half of the year. You then have the end of the year to get people to watch and rate the performance. I believe you only get the Stage Submit verb while standing at your own stage (not the world stage). If you just type STAGE, it should be the last one in the list.

You might want to bug it or something. You're the Minister of Culture, and that's something you should have the ability to do. Something's wonky if you don't see STAGE SUBMIT as one of your STAGE options right now, while standing at your stage.

Note that the ratings don't actually affect the scoring at all anymore. Only the activity of the hosting stage generally, and that play specifically. "Activity" includes factors about actor and crew time spent as well as plays and number of people watching.

Don't they? Ah well, still. The more people watch the better the activity and if they watch with the idea of rating, then there'll be lots of watching.

Can one be in a play that is being done at the stage of another city? I think I would like to experience this.
