Incidentally, inspired in part by the thoughts that came from this thread, and responding to a news post Everiine made a few days ago, I did a news post about what Serenwilde is, that a lot of people have told me was very inspiring. Unfortunately, I suspect that there's a high overlap between "people who bother to read news" and "people who already know what we're about" but maybe it'll help people spread the ideas to others.

I liked your news post, Lendren. As a player, I never really understood Serenwilde all that much. Truthfully, I never really understood any of the forest communes in any IRE MUD all that much. It was interesting to see Serenwilde from the point of view of a really old character who's been with the org for so long. tongue.gif

Utter rubbish (not that i expected any better out of you). While IC Rhaell and Ijen were friends, Rhaell did take Ijen aside and warn him on several occasions that his actions were detrimental to the commune, and that he would end up being punished if he continued to disrespect other commune mates and continue on like he was doing. At the time that seemed to keep him in line. Now I don't know what he got up to after I quit the game, but I assure you, there was no favouritism there while i was in charge. But whatever.
