You're also a knight in full plate, which rather hampers Axelord's potential.

Now that the double-tap is gone it's harder pretty much impossible to build up the high wounds on full-platers.

Fixed that for you. sad.gif

When you've got it down pat perfectly, I'll be sure to afk against you and have 0 wounds when I return.

So I'm not an Axelord...

Anyways...everything has potential. Do what appeals to you (at OP).

You'll have to straight outpace wound curing, which against masterplated knights is a tough task for any of the four specs. Its why, barring killing through the tertiary in some way shape or form, most duels between knights end in a draw.

So if you're practicing against other knights and don't get anywhere, it isn't just the spec. Double tap needed to go because it was silly.

If you can manage to get up in to the higher wounds for AL, you'll be in good shape. You even have a kill method I've always sorta envied in execute, that rewards you spreading wounds around rather than it generally coming down to head-related kills.

Since you don't seem to care that you don't have a "trick" (Pinleg, etc.), try it out. Why not. Concentrate on how you're going to plan to get wounds high enough to threaten people. Don't bother with single combat against knights (again, this is true for most knights. Weapon fights with other knights take all night.)

I'll do the same just to see what happens. Not going to boast that I'll have 0 wounds, though.

Aren't you a Monk with acrobatics?

That's even more effective than full-plate, IMO.

Those two skills are the ultimate passive wound-defenses, heh.

Wiccans/Druids/Guardians/non-Acro Bards should have a harder time of it.

I could tank warriors as a Mage fine.
Veyrzhul2010-08-04 21:40:34
If you want to faze full plate knights, you'll need artifacts. Acrobats being tankier against knights than fullplate wearers is not true at all. They might just have better means to hinder you on top of their dodging than a knight.

Building off of this, I'm a krokani bonecrusher, and I'm having a lot of trouble killing folks...any advice on how to kill as a bonecrusher (if that's even possible these days) would be appreciated?

From my limited experience (was unartied, undemi Lobo Templar), I just tried to be really disruptive until I saw some sort of breakthrough. Switching between knockdowns and head/chest stuns, wind on gut now and then (though it's kinda disappointing), lots of mantakaya and dulak. I found that when i switched to using double charybdon on knockdown, I found it immediately easier, because it was like getting some extra time.

By breakthrough, I mean looking for certain afflictions. Most of the time I conserved power as much as possible, but if I saw that I was landing pulverized legs I'd immediately blow a bunch to try and get the crushed throat with slickness and asthma. Alternatively, if I saw I was landing that often, I'd go for a power hit right after landing it, then try to build to pulverized leg and then back to the head. I found that my biggest mistake was often seeing something I wanted and not switching to add something else, and thus losing all my buildup to stance and parry.

Also, acrobatic monks made me cry.

Yeah I guess that's about all I can do, although I do have sacraments and can possibly try to inquisition and lay down double morphite on them after to put them to sleep maybe? I still hope that maybe bonecrushers will get a bit of a buff one day, and don't want to switch even if it is kind of a "meh" spec.

Inquisition does periodic minor damage that wakes them up. In addition, you won't need double morphite, you would just need single morphite because inquisition strips all defenses.
