Okay, I've got some info that might help with this argument. Last night I used my main power to guard myself from harm. I'm not sure whether the scum were targetting me or not, but if they were it makes sense that they wouldn't have been able to get off a nightkill. In this scenario, Saran and Shaddus might both be on the up-and-up. The problem with this is that I'm not positive whether I was the target - I didn't get a message from Kira of a failed kill attempt or anything, and by revealing this I guess I'm putting myself at risk. But if the scum are potentially on the verge of winning as Saran's earlier post speculated, it's best to have all the cards on the table now.
Saran2010-08-26 04:03:47
Rather interesting, the people that were posting a lot now seem to be avoiding the thread almost entirely.
I would suggest a mass roleclaim, this could be simply your net-navi (perhaps combined with the use of their chip if feasible) or you could include your chip powers as well.

Regarding the navi-claim, you all should already know who I am as Ayisdra posted my main chip much earlier in the game.
FURTHERMORE. I'm going to
Unvote
Vote Noola
I've had my suspicions. A hunch, even. For one, the sheer number of chips. For two, the pattern in which she votes for people already being voted for. I will, quite obviously, change my vote when more cards are on the table and if they reveal more information of interest. But for the moment, I am content.

I did find the chips odd, but I didn't notice the voting pattern. I'll have to head back and look.

I am the type of player who goes based on how I remember things because I refuse to read the past 18 pages. However, I'm 99% sure that Noola has a tendency of only voting for people who are already having suspicions drawn on them by others. Which is pretty scummy, to me. The large number of chips also means that she isn't, at least, a 'normal' townie. If she isn't outright scum, she must be some other special role.

Here's a few notes ....
Noola: random vote for Jack, later withdrawn
Shou: voted Othero (later withdrew)
Synl: voted Othero
After Synl voted Othero, Noola did, with doublevote active.
Next day:
Voted Saran as a wakeup vote.
Voted Esano as a wakeup vote.
Voted Shou after Shaddus did.
SYNL: Hrm. So Noola's navigator's identity is hidden. Going to probe around for lore information, but this is highly suspicious.
NOOLA: Not particularly. I have a protective chip I slotted during the night which lasts a certain amount of time and has a chance of protecting me. I guess it hides my navigator or something. I can't think of the harm in telling who she is though. Romeda Andou.
"In the anime, Star Man uses a black hole of sorts to summon all of his attacks, but it's shown he can also fire a Star Arrow "Roll" style as a basic defense." from here.
I'm guessing Noola's protective chip is a darkchip, meaning she can use it whenever as there's currently a hole open.
But yeah, that's a lot of powers - no-one else has had more than 2 or 3, I think. And that's including their .exe chip, which Noola didn't specify but I assume to be the 24 hour deadline (as the most powerful of those above). That's an interesting power, as while it's not exactly a kill chip, with the doublevote and a protective chip to weigh the votes in your favour, it gets a lot closer.
And if we are so close to losing, then we need to stack up the night defenses. I have one, and can distribute another using my actions for today. If Noola is town and is about to be lynched, she should swap out the protective chip to someone else.

Saran2010-08-27 13:45:04
Yeah... Noola's posted like once this entire day after spending most of the game voting for people who have not been posting...
Kiradawea2010-08-27 13:50:34
I'll send her a PM. She told me she was busy, so that might be the reason.
Arix2010-08-28 07:44:02
Wait, why does Noola get so many powers, is she one of those jack of all trades types?
Arix2010-08-29 09:10:18
Hello?
Esano2010-08-29 09:24:14
So, how many people are voting for themselves now?
Kiradawea2010-08-29 10:37:02
Everyone but you and Arix...
In 12 hours the game ends. As in, game over completely, unless activity suddenly skyrockets.

Yup.
Saran2010-08-29 13:18:01
butbutbut not fair I was lolling at Planet Terror
Unknown2010-08-29 14:56:36
We can post. But I think the game should just end. It's clearly not going anywhere. Which is rather strange, since this happened with the last game, too. Maybe Lusternians have just lost interest in Mafia overall.
Shaddus2010-08-29 18:28:09
I think the chip thing has made it a bit odd. VOTE:NOOLA to get the ball rolling anew.
Kiradawea2010-08-29 21:32:02
I am half tempted to just end the game here and now yeah. Or just send it straight into night with no lynch. It bothers me that people sign up, and then do not play.
Arix2010-08-29 23:58:49
can we get a vote count?
