For clarification, the rules are actually in the second post, not the first.

Okay, I thiiink I've got the gist of the Chip system. You can only make three a day, or one NaviChip, which is your Big Power. But they carry over into the next day, allowing for stockpiling or whatever? And also, we create them via PM, but do we use them in the topic or also via messaging?
Saran2010-08-07 04:33:23
I believe the logic for scum wanting no lynches was so that less is learned. The more we no vote the more rounds the scum get to kill off people while playing nice and "safe" during the day.

Othero's quick decision to vote for me because of my question raises suspicion. If I really was an experienced mafia player I wouldn't have made an obvious mistake like that. Granted, I've played 2 games on these forums I think... a long long time ago. Vote Othero

Yeah, that's generally it, but an abstaining vote/pass/whatever you want to call it can tell something about the person, or persons, because generally they have to explain their reasonings for doing so. Judgements can still be made, it's just easier to read I think from someone switching votes on and off and on and off, or jumping on a bandwagon or many of the other scum tells we have.
So, Shou, are seeking information on the chips the only reason you don't want a lynch today? Or are there any other reasons? (same question to anyone else who might have considered it and I'm not remembering your names!)
(also, I'm visiting my grandparents spur of the moment thanks to my mother but thankfully it's only for saturday and at most a bit of sunday anyone who's known me when I used to live here knows my usage is slightly to mornings and late at night I'll try and have nice thought out posts when I can )

That's voting no lynch, not not voting in the random stage or on first day. The latter is more understandable, especially in newbie games.
Although the OMGUS doesn't help.
Diamondais2010-08-07 04:41:05
Man, posting while I post. Makes it difficult to keep up!
Unknown2010-08-07 04:43:58
It occasionally works, I can see scum trying to pull it off. But I'm also willing to pull off if you're saying it was a dumb mistake. No reason for me to not believe you. Unvote:Shou

For reference, I'm on here between 1am and 3-4 am CST, and Noon-2pm CST. So no, I'm not lurking. I have a night shift job.
Rika2010-08-07 07:09:12
So which actions are PM and which are post? Same question for day and night.

I think making the chips (setting up our powers) is a PM?
Noola2010-08-07 07:13:57
What's up with "Cut off the head and the body will follow" Neos? That's an odd thing to put in a random vote post.
Kiradawea2010-08-07 09:38:16
Everything is in PMs, except using chips during daytime.
Noola2010-08-07 20:40:40
Soooo?
Diamondais2010-08-07 21:04:52
Yeah, I was kind of.. expecting a bit more conversation since this morning.
Unknown2010-08-07 21:14:32
Hmm... this is moving a bit slowly. Well has everyone already posted by now? We have to agree on someone to vote to make the game proceed don't we?
Unknown2010-08-07 21:18:50
Mafia is a game which relies on someone saying something stupid. It's a game that isn't played unless someone is bad at playing it. Seems like a problematic game. I guess we can get information via stealing/swapping, and investigating who (in Megaman) would have the chip you stole/swapped. HRM.
Noola2010-08-07 21:21:31
I still want Neos to explain his comment.

Pretty much this. My assumption is that it is pure stupidity, confusing a first day random vote for scum and giving it a OMFGUS vote. But still, that's an almost idiotic move and if a better reason can't be given then I'd probably look at it as something a little off.
Kiradawea2010-08-07 21:54:52
Someone use a chip.
Remember that I will be enforcing the activity demands. If nothing else, it's better to vote forth a no lynch than wait for me to force one.
