The consumption death message was actually really really cool.

Idea: 10 demigods = Daath sequence. Yessssssss
But anyways, I would love to see my custom things especially for simple things. Maybe a new hunting thing. Kind of like the domoth war balls of energy thing. Something for demigods just for hunting denizens?
Orrr maybe unique tells. Like how divine have those spiffy tells?

I might have it logged, but it's like, you fall to the ground in a shriveled husk kinda thing. You can ask Viynain if he logged it, but I doubt it. The deathsight on the other hand, is rather unspectacular. Normal psychic damage kill message.
EDIT:
Okay, so maybe it's not QUITE as cool as I made it out ot be, but I liked it!

The following items are provided without fully-considered impact on the setting. Lolz may follow.
Gift of Tongues: Add a new language to your list.
Arcane Infusion: Once per weave, fully recharge one enchanted item.
Unnatural Beauty: Gain bonus while influencing using seduction. Also, once per Lusternian day, instantly cause a mobile to become seduced to you even if that mob has been recently influenced or is immune to seduction due to mindset. Restrictions may apply.
Divine Celerity: Gain a level of racial-equivalent balance or equilibrium bonus.
Unnatural Blood: Mobs do not gain health when using leeching attacks on you.
Greater Rift: Increases the maximum capacity of your Planar Rift ability.
Aura of Famine: When you walk into a room with a cow, sheep, chicken or trout, it immediately dies. Periodic ambient effect.
Crafter's Ingenuity: When crafting an item, you use five less of any one commodity type in the design. This may not reduce the total commodity cost of the item below 1 commodity, but may reduce an individual component's total to zero. (A book costs 20 wood and 5 silver normally. It can be reduced to either 15 wood, 5 silver, or just 20 wood. A scroll that costs 2 wood may only be reduced to 1 wood.)
(Creature) Affinity: While you are in their area, mobiles with the chosen name are not hostile to you and act as though they are seduced by you.
Spectral Messenger: A (FULLY) customizable avatar delivers your message. Targeted like a tell, only the message is audible to everyone in same room as the recipient as well.

All sound fun.
I know this might be treading out of the domain of demigods proper, but...

You raise your arms imperiously towards Razenth, causing the blood to lift from

greedily consume the essence, still hungering for more.

Awesome as that is, I'd rather it be transformed into a utility ability to benefit essence gains rather than the instances of using it on a bleeding combatant for damage. I also wouldn't mind Thul's messenger thing and the creature affinity thing could be broken a bit.
...how about that idea I had for a magnifying glass artie but instead in demipower form? Call it...something Analysis and enables you to see the precise amount of damage caused on your person and the damage type(s) of the attack on a new line after the damage? Could even limit it to just denizens instead of people since that'd be less likely to keep changing with envoy reports. /cataloguing impulse
Besides those, and if Omniscience weren't put back in, how about attuning to a single channel to communicate on it no matter the distance? Like Diet Omniscience in that you get the benefits, but limited to just one channel you specify at a time.
Or maybe...an ability to imbue a crafted item (preferably not food, though, you can if you want) with your essence, flagging it as reseting and non-decay and enabling you to energylink it power? Capped out at around 500 power, you'll be able to link it from wherever and have to keep energylinking it to recharge it! No idea if you can cone to it directly, but why not. With the 500 cap and the limitation to only the person who made it can use it/only one thing created at a time, it won't help any rogue aspirations.
Think of it as a symbol of your divine power! Most likely people will imbue things like pendants or rings, but I'm sure there will be the quirky few who imbues say...a pair of bacon panties.

Some ascendant powers are obviously going to suck more than others. It's the same with skills in all skillsets. I mean you just gotta look at the bright side. You get it free and it's not as useless as say INVOKE BLUE. I mean I feel you cause I'd be trying to buff that as hard as I could if I had it. What i mostly wanted to say was this is for demi powers.
Since I don't see my ideas here, here they are:
Additional levels of regeneration buyables so that if all are bought, the demigod will have level 3 regeneration
additional stat buyables so that the demigod who buys all of these will have +3 stats
these two ideas were part of the original demigod perks. They were removed/reduced. Now that there are weights, I feel it is appropriate to bring them back. ANd stats have been mega nerfed slash balanced into the ground.
I think Demi seal bearers allowed to buy one seal power would be neat. They still have to buy it so it'll be expensive, it'll still take part of their low weight. and EVERYONE can get a seal. It's no VA popularity contest or a once in a blue moon TA. I mean it's once in a blue moon but there's 9 opportunities and some of them you have fair shots of winning on your own no matter what amount of combat or rp skill you have.
That being said: it is difficult to come up with utility powers that won't affect PK. So much so that really I feel we are nearing a point where the only way to continue is to infringe on other skillsets or artifacts.
Few more ideas:
Artifact or essence one time buyable to increase weights (I think we all feel this coming some time down the road as a credit thing, but you could consider it an essence thing)
How about being able to purchase consummables without it actually being part of your weight?
For example: add to the demishop the item for sale: Divine favor - just about every divine grants favors based on essence offerings. So add a demi power that costs a weight of zero. It's one time use the moment you purchase it but can be used repeatedly. Basically you will transfer your personal essence into divine essence for your patron. You are essentially buying favors which you can already do with esteem and just bashing. Can adjust the ratio from 1:1 to be more so in this case or less so if you feel it is too strong.
How about an artifact or demigod buyable power that let's you learn tradeskills as if you had the requireed high/lowmagic requirement even if you didn't. This goes along with the second tradeskill demipower. So enchanters and guardians would be able to take low magic trade skills, but still not alchemy (unless the person was a bard) Esano came up with this idea on a clan a bit back and I liked it.
I just feel trade skills shouldn't be so limited by guild especially when the goal was to expand limited tradeskills to the orgs that had lmited access. Could always just let monks take up enchanting tinkering and alchemy brewmeister.

I wrote something like this, but given how hard they just worked to reduce the "glut" of commodities, I doubted it would fly. (The other problem is, you did it as a flat five-comm reduction, which would be huge for some trades and trivial for others... but a percentage would also be far better for some trades than others. I was trying to think of ways to make it equally useful regardless of trade, and the only thing I came up with was pretty complex to implement. Goes like this: whatever comm you used the most of during the weave in crafting, your rift grows by a random number from 50 to 100 of that comm. Tracking which ones you used would be awful, though. So another reason this idea will never fly.)
But it suggests another one, similar to one of the current ones reserved (for no good reason) for ascendants:
Anonymous Craft: Allows you to remove the "bears the mark of" mark on things you crafted.
Unknown2010-08-11 01:53:01
Colors: Allows use of color tags in says and emotes.
Inspiration: Restore another's shattered ego, limit/day or /weave. Doesn't work if your own ego is shattered, maybe.
Mercy: Partially restore a mob's health, limit/day or /weave.
Magnificence: Adds some new appearance possibilities to beasts raised by the demigod. Or maybe instead, a new beast type. I liked the earlier "divine familiar" idea.

I know, but they wanted ideas, and I'm struggling here.
Beast Bond: Form a deepbond with one of your beastmastery beasts. This prevents you from losing the beast when performing actions that would otherwise lose your entourage. On the flip side, if you die, your beast will pass in grief as well.

Makes the Demigod an independent Vernal Ascendant.
'Vernal' directly infers a connection with a nexus. Better and more interesting, I think, would be:
Edifice Construct
300 Million essence, 50 weight.
Transforms your manse into an Edifice of Power. An Edifice object is created in your manse. Transferring ownership of this manse means losing the Edifice. The Edifice may be linked for power, accepts essence of the type required by your home nexus, and can be fueled by that manse's collectors if it is an aethership. Guardians and Wiccans can cosmic link or cone directly to their own Edifice. One-time customization of the Edifice manse object comes with this ability.
Makes you a Minor Ascendant through that Edifice (same as VA with a different name), as long as the Edifice contains at least (insert arbitrary number) power. As an Edifice is a simpler construct than a Nexus, it is less stable, and will lose (insert arbitrary number) power per (insert arbitrary time frame).
Overpowers your connection to your current Nexus of power, leaving you unable to link to that Nexus, or enter its Nexus World through normal citizen means.
Basically, relegates you to maintaining your own separate power battery, unable to draw from your home nexus. Renders you unable to enter your org's nexus world under your own power (unless you dock, use a construct, or so on). Grants you access to VA Powers with less weight to work with. Also means you'll never lose Demi, though the Edifice should get a power penalty every time you die without sufficient essence. There should be some hindrance which comes into play when an Edifice gets too low, preventing people from setting it up and ignoring its dwindling power.
Rogues would get the same functionality, only couldn't use essence to power their Edifice. The Edifice does NOT count as 'flavored' power for purposes of skill use - this remains accomplished solely by org affiliation.
