I agree, but people have suggested it before and the admin (I forget the reason) either didn't read it, or didn't want to implement it.
The abuse could be dealt with pretty harshly, and (I think) it'd be pretty easy to catch. Could put a 5 sec balance use on it, too.

Besides that really unlikely thing from going in, if we want more flavour things:
-Choice ambiance illusion messages. No, not custom combative ones, but illusions you can perform (undetectable) that're tied into the nine domoth. Self-activated so that you can choose when to have them appear in the room (so that you don't end up spamming people), that'll add more flavour to the person who chooses to go the arpee route in regards to the demipowers. Think things like: A floral note of lavender fragrance piques your interest as it draws your attention towards Maylea.
Kinda like emotes, but illusion-like and domoth flavoured!
-Choice beast recreation. Again, domoth flavoured - this would let you imbue a beast (only one at a time) with a bit of your essence to make it reflect the powers of one of the nine domoth. You know, so that you can say, have a bloody battle-scarred war pony if you wanted to! Of course, this'll be kinda description heavy (since we have like, what, 13 beasts? Nine domoth per beast, ee), but I'm sure if you contact willing volunteers (ahemhem), they'll be more than happy to help write some simple, awesome descriptions up! The look will last until you lose the power/imbue something else and if the beast ever reverts, it'll be hit with a zimoru!
-Choice offense bump. I'll throw a bone to casters and suggest a guardian/wiccan-level attack flavoured around the nine domoths. Eq based, damage type depending on the domoth chosen, magic sourced so arties will help, the attack would be either 1) on a bit faster eq (3.5 as opposed to 4 maybe?) OR 2) a solid 4s but with the added perk of doing the equivalent of a cleave on shielded denizens. The cleaving effect will only work on mobs, and when successful, adds another .5 - 1s more eq on the attack so that they can bash better without impacting player combat much! My preference would be for 2, since Destruction is already made for the people who want speed.
-Oh, oh, how about...a series of new influencing attacks that end up not with the current effects of begging, seduction, paranoia, empowering or weakening, but with a bump of extra esteem/xp? No idea how complicated that'd be for coding, but it's an influencer bump!
And...I'm out of ideas for now. I hope those help!

I'm down with caster cleave warriors and monks get the best of health, bashing and artifacts. Let's at least even up the bashing field since that's staying away from PK!
While we're adding in skills about the latest auctions artifacts, let's bring out a chaos power.
Manifest - usable in outdoor locations. Will randomly create all of the same type of wall in every direction amongst all of the walls available (phantom, ice, stone, wind, fire, any others?)

-How about an aura of recognition? Another arpee flavour power dependent on the aura chosen, if a demi has it and they enter a room, there would be a chance a random denizen would fawn over/quiver in terror/fangirl squeal at the person depending on the aura they have activated! Adding a flag to make it not tic if it already happened once in the room within x-seconds (to prevent spammage) and I think would be another dandy flavour thing which I'm sure can vary a bit as people think further than just the three I tossed up. Since certain org mobs already react to people who have the orgix, I think this would be doable code wise in the sentient critters of the game.

An excellent angle for that influencing suggestion, I think! Though, I do believe proselytizing is already a Celestian village influence attack, so another word or three will be needed to convince the masses in the awesome which is your semi-divine form.
And Noola's recognition idea works too! An aura of respect/friendliness could be another flavour included in the list of denizen reactions available!

(Though unfortunately, as much as I'd love to do it, the recognition one would be just too much work. The mobs have to be individually edited for the orgbixes - could you imagine editing every mob in the game?)

Personally, I'd be against going with too many powers that duplicate artifact effects. (And, warriors really do not have the best of the artifacts, considering we have to buy like a dozen runes just to equal a caster's few runes and those only affect a single set of weapons!)
I think I might like a fun eavesdropping power that can be imbued into a room, works as long as you're on the same plane, and you only hear what anonymous people of different races are saying in the room.
Or the ability to track a person for a limited time, say 30 seconds or a minute, seeing all their movements.

Eavesdropping is a semi-powerful (and easily circumvented) group skill. If the skill was implemented, it'd have to be adjacent rooms to keep it balanced.

The idea with the artifact powers was that it would simply be utility artifacts, and not something that'd be combat related. Any combat effects would definitely be out, I agree.

Rapport: On attacking a mob, get an indication of how close to dead it is, like warrior bashing. Same with influencing.

My main reason, of course, for not wanting artifacts to be mimicked with powers is because I already own most of them.
(Though, I suppose that would leave me even more free to choose from the other remaining powers instead.)
