What is it like to play in Gaudiguch the now? Is there any defined roleplay like there is in Glomdoring since it has a clear and well-defined roleplaying atmosphere. I am really liking the fact that Gaudiguch encompasses the free spirit kind of attitude.
What are the classes like? I am quite interested in playing a Knight since I haven't really played one for any great length of time before.
It would be nice to hear some reviews from the people who are playing in that sphere the now!

Imagine a kindergarten class. Now imagine it with tentacles and fire and alcohol.

Kindergarten? Don't you think that's a bit generous?

- Make alt
- Find highest ranked Gaudiguchi
- Tell them I need to potty ever 20 minutes

It's not really. It's the running joke associated with the org. You just don't hear Hallifax's running joke, because you need to fill out a pair of triplicate forms before you can repeat that joke.
Ilyarin2010-08-18 14:14:18
Did you file the necessary paperwork to make that sarky comment? *eye*
Gregori2010-08-18 14:18:18
Gaudiguch isn't as bad it is made out. There are basically three camps in Gaudiguch.
Camp 1 The visible people working to move the city in a direction that doesn't involve self destruction
Camp 2 The invisible people who are doing the same as Camp 1 they just don't get recognised for it cause they are... invisible
Camp 3 The people who would have been executed, ridiculed, excommunicated, exiled in any other org the first week after they joined and scream about being oppressed and contest on a regular basis
Camp 1 and Camp 3 collide a lot causing the "drama llama" to appear, but Camp 3 has for the most part been removed, shrubbed, or left for other orgs and the city can now push forward with Camp 1 and Camp 2.

This is a much better post Gregori, the type of thing I was looking for Although moving swiftly along from the griefers, how are the classes in Gaudi? PvE and PvP

Depending on exactly what you mean by "free spirit", I would probably pick a different defining trait for a character in Gaudiguch. That type of character plays best against contrasts, but in Gaudiguch you'd be one among several. Keep elements of a rebellious, free-spirited, hard-drinking personality in there by all means, but having a different set of primary characteristics to your personality would give you much more to draw from in a given situation. I think when you start to run dry is when you start to lose interest in a character, and from that point their days are numbered.

PVE is typical knight, guardian, mage bashing of any other org. We don't really shine there except in a couple spots. Fusion is great for bashing if you can maintain the occasional hit on multiple stats. Chaotesign is an amazing skill for quick tanking and when astral bashing is easy to keep up constantly if you are linking.
PVP Templar and Illuminati have a few amazing skills - you will find jihad threads about those skills across the forums. We are a close comparison to Glomdoring in the PVP skills in that regard.
Pyromancers got beat down badly in the special report with no vested interest envoys there to defend the skills or work to get something. So Pyromancers basically got it all taken away, by jihad envoys, with nothing in compensation.

I tried out an alt in Gaudiguch. The city is fine if you ignore all the bad people and focus on the Gaudiguch that is worth it. I mean, they could use a bit more seriousness (but hey, I am playing in Glomdoring) but otherwise, Gaudiguch has a lot of interesting RP potential other than the 'I AM FREE' profile many people use.
Vahkatu2010-08-18 14:48:42
See after playing in Glomdoring, I'm not so sure I would be able to transition from Glomdoring to Gaudi from a playing perspective since I've been kinda spoilt by all the great things that makes Glomdoring possibly the best playing sphere (in my eyes). I may make an alt and just see how it goes!
Shaddus2010-08-18 17:03:17
The only problem I have with Gaudiguch is the people who believe that "I am free!" means "I can act like I'm two and they can't punish me, wheeee!" or "I can act like I'm from Serenwilde, wheee!".
Or the favorite, "If they punish me it's hurting my rpz! They must have a hidden agenda!"

Doesn't Gaudiguch have the Illuminati?

Yeah I don't think I could play that too much anyway, not excessively more to the point. This is exactly the reason I had chosen to play in Glomdoring from the off. I've always hated playing as part of the snugglies. I am just surprised Gaudi is getting played that way the now presumably.

Gaudiguch, the new Celest? Mhm?
