God perceptions and views

Back to Common Grounds.

I was wondering what people thought of various gods and how they perceived their tenants.

Simply because everyone has their own perceptions on their teachings.

Fain

"You serve Me, and Me alone."

1. All things serve Fain. If they don't think so, Fain arranges for them to dance in his masquerade.

2. "I care not for your mortal life. My plans are above such petty concerns as your safety. I have given you My instructions, and you will accomplish My goals. I do not care if you die. If you fail once and quit, you are worthless to Me. Either you will take the hill I tell you to, or die trying. Maggots who lack the testicular fortitude to finish what they start, or simply mouth petty praises to Me and fail to worship Me in the proper manner of obeisance are better cast from My sight, their blood not worthy enough to anoint my Altars."

3. Power is everything. By gold to purchase favours and impressive items, knowledge for blackmail and finding weakness, or the bloody mindedness that is required to remind people why Fain is superior to all. Preferably, all three.

4. Intelligent people are easily fooled. Weave your own songs and make the puppets dance. Either to sow discord or to further the Plan.

5. 2nd most important thing: Struggle makes people strong. Drama strengthens the mind and sharpens the wit, people with intelligence will handle it well. Fighting makes the muscles strong, and encourage growth. As the conflicts becomes more petty, the weak are easily controlled, as the struggle gets stronger, the one on top tends to be prime Fainite material.

In the end, all that matters is Fain. Everything you do will come back to him. Everything he does is for his own benefit. Either for amusement, or position, all dance to his music.

That is what I think Fain tends to teach. What do you think about the teachings of the other gods?

Tenants? Are the gods running a condo scheme behind my back?

Yes, be quick and punish them before they make excuses! Especially Eventru >.>

I had the same issue with Turrent and Turrets.

You know full well that I mean Teachings and such.

It has nothing to do with Little Fainship and the affordable pricing!

Fain would be the worst landlord ever.

"Hey, yeah, my roof's leaking."
"I let you keep your child, didn't I?"
"Let me keep? Hey, she doesn't do anything wrong, and that has nothing to do w--"
"Slaughter her for Me and use her skin to patch the hole, mortal."

Nocht called me the other day, selling timeshares on a condo in Florida, and ocean front property in Arizona.

Everyone knows I'm selling condos in the Blessed Isle... suspicious.gif

Little Fainship always has openings, don't mind the blood stains on the carpets, walls...ceiling...and front lawn.

Raezon's Holdings are for the adventurous, people who want to wake up in a whole new location, or body, or wake up with arms where they weren't before.

Morgfyre's Culvert is more expensive, but you'll find some amazing designs on the inside! Truely, you'll never find a home with more twists and turns than you'll find there. Bleeding walls, and all consuming voids common, but we consider the voids as a garbage service! (B.S. Johnson would be proud of some of the feats of engineering!)

Thread derail after first post. It... isn't a new record, but pretty darn good.
Xavius2010-09-05 01:54:43
It may be the first time a god hijacked a thread with the first reply, though!

For the record, the word you wanted was "tenets."

I was more worried about Eventru and golden showers.

If your agents are unjustly enriched by virtue of their position in your organization, then they owe you any gold sovereigns they've made as a result of said unjust enrichment! /lawstudent

Right, less derailing. We have tweets for random blurbs.
Eventru2010-09-05 10:32:43
Elostian clearly didn't get in on the divine condo scheme when he had the chance... ninja.gif

Or maybe he's mad that his operations, which clearly started before everyone else, are now known. ninja.gif

I think everyone's derailing because ultimately there's nothing else to do here that shouldn't be being done in the game instead of here.
