Don't know if this is in the right section, but I was wondering... might there be a misweave with the Grand Finale? When it came time to see the show, it whizzed past me and I saw up to Madame Vadoma's act and then was ushered out. (I've a log but am unsure about posting it for spoilers.) I've since been told that there's more to the show at least in years past. I have the honours line, but didn't claim the dingbats yet. After all that work I'm rather bummed that I only got to see half or less of the show... confused.gif Otherwise, the mini quests were nice...
Ileein2010-10-08 11:27:31
I got to see the entire thing. I'll pm you a log.
Eventru2010-10-08 12:53:03
Feel free to e-mail me a copy of the log (eventru@lusternia.com) and I'll look into it. Not sure why it happened (and it's the only report of it happening so) but I can definitely check it out.

You know how to, right? You don't get them at the end of the quest, Czigany just puts a stamp on your hand and you go greet Jeremiah or somesuch. Czigany should be explaining it specifically, too.

Well, I figured that out that after Maellio and Orventa got to talking about it.

It was basically,

M. "So, did you get to see Her?"

O. "Um, you mean Madame Vadoma?"

M. "... No, the giant Iron Lady..."

O. "What Lady?"

But since I didn't get to the end, I didn't see the stamp or anything. I wonder if I even got it? Goes with the honours I suppose?

You got the stamp - just go see Jeremiah Gryphta, the long lost czigany. Presuming you are Orventa, like your signature suggests!

I don't know if others have had the problem, but the 'stamp flag' wasn't reset from the previous Wayfaire. What I mean is that I can't get into Jal's Tent this Wayfaire, as it acts as if I've already claimed it for this Wayfaire. It did this before I helped the other performers, and the problem still persists after having helped all the other performers, too.
Lendren2010-10-08 22:54:15
I had four of the five quests let me do them, but not the fifth. However, on doing four, Jal brought me to the finale, so this was a bank error in my favor, collect $200, for once.

Yea, I noticed that one. There's about 5 or 6 people who had that occur (it had to do with someone being deleted). Won't happen next time!

If this is occurring, bug it. It's a lot easier if you preface it with the word 'Wayfaire' so that I can search for it quickly. smile.gif I'm not sure why this is happening, but I can look for sure.

Everything in the Wayfaire is logged to almost tedious levels of detail, so that we can correct any problems such as this!

Happened to me too, and did so.

On a brighter note though, this Wayfaire seemed to have quicker respawn timing with the bunnies and wanderers, so wub.gif

I'm having the same issue, already bugged it as well...

While I've done the Wayfaire twice so far, I've never seen the third-person view of the shows.

With a magnificent bow, Master Dukker Cymbalom introduces his assistant by name - Arte! The children in the crowd begin to cheer wildly, while several young girls begin to giggle shyly.

Master Dukker Cymbalom smiles and begins to speak, his voice wracked with stutters and a weak timbre - yet the children applaud wildly, and even Arte seems to be enjoying himself, if a bit surprised. The magician bows and lifts his hap, revealing a poorly sewn together rabbit, one button eye hanging by its stitching and nothing more.

Master Dukker Cymbalom has Arte hold a bouquet of fake flowers - despite their silk nature, he appears pleased, and sniffs at them gently. Lost with his face in the flowers, Arte entirely misses the series of poorly performed tricks - a link on the chains broke as the magician attempted to escape from them, making his escape easy. The mirror for one trick was cracked, while in another the scarf came out his nose, painfully, and not out of his mouth as promised.

As if the offensive display of poor techniques and shoddy trick tools was not enough, Master Dukker Cymbalom ended the comically terrible display by tripping and stumbling - sending a yellow stuffed toy bird, vaguely resembling what a canary would look like if the magician had fallen upon it, flying across the stage. At least is appears to have broken Arte from his trance. You look about - shocked, appalled - at the crowd. They all clap and cheer as if they were witnessing some magnificent spectacle, some great display of talent. As you look back at the stage, Master Dukker Cymbalom is stuffing Arte into a vertical black box that has been rolled upon the stage.

Master Dukker Cymbalom taps the door of the box with his wand and stutters out some mumbo-jumbo words that sound about as real as that stick he calls a wand. With one hand and foot he spins the box, his chanting of his 'magic words' growing louder. Strangely, you look about as the crowd chants and shouts along with them. You can barely believe your eyes, for the show itself has been horrific at best heretofore - and only becomes worse, as the box itself triggers the trap door, and half-falls in. The children cheer wildly, and the magician bows and lifts his hat again, once more revealing the atrocious stuffed bunny. The crowd begins to gather and depart, gabbing about how fantastic the performance was. You shake your head in dismay.

Also, yes, I typo'd the Hap. I just found it interesting to see it from this standpoint, since when you're doing the shows there's always some element of hypnotism inherent in what's going on and while you think it's going as per above, it's more difficult to tell!

I'm actually camping them now instead of doing the quests so that I can see them, precisely for this reason.

I was already planning to post any others I find, just because seeing these things from the third-person POV is so different from the real and someone clearly put some effort into them! It's a shame to have them lost.
