FWIW, it's Phoebus and Casilu's silliness that makes me find Hallifax fun, even in the times where order is needed the most.
(Not that they're the only fun people, mind you, they're just... eccentric standouts!)

I attended(observed) the Bloodfaire on the premise of analyzing Magnagoran culture.
Good work, Nariah. It was great.

The Ball was no where near as awesome as the last one, no proper dances either! But we were all falling flat on our faces at that point to be honest, I've been chained to the desk for 12 hours at a time for three past days for this. And with such short notice as they had, no one had time to prepare dances anyhow. But now we know! Best not plan the Ball for a Sunday, has much less people which is why we pushed it back so much and ended up with few anyhow.

True, but that's not quite fair. I thought our costumes were incredible, esp with the IC item stuff instead of merely typing words in a description. Either way, I had as much if not more fun coming up with ideas with you than in the ball itself.
Aicuthi2010-11-09 04:09:08
I would have attended the other parts of it if I knew it was a player run event.
For some reason I assumed the Bloodfaire had something to do with the Czigany Wayfaire...Guess I should've asked.

Pff, well of course -our- costumes were amazing. Especially with the narwhal inside joke on the side, hah. And the bell you managed to procure somehow, and the helm of Urlach. Pretty proud of my rendering too! Got that necklace approved barely hours before.

We don't quite keep in contact with Hallifax, probably why almost no one there had any idea. Orventa and Maellio both had invitational pamphlets though (forgot to give one to Shulamit!) so I thought everyone knew where they were going, alas, they didn't brag about associating with filthy mags. Gaudi knew too thanks to Iytha, long standing Mag who was here for old Bloodfaires. My favourite part with Gaudiguchians was when Iytha and Ayrna came to Hold Your Liquor contest and Ayrna went on about how she doesn't drink or smoke weed, all proud, and then was one of the first to fall off a chair.

Why would I ask a toilet about the Bloodfaire? Have you been eating spicy food lately?

That sounds humorous to say the least. The fan-lashings were especially entertaining.
We're starting up the Gala of Time for Hallifax, but since I went inactive it never saw the light of day. Maybe we'll send invites to Mag.

I knew. I just wouldn't be allowed to do go. Alas, everyone ignores the person with the long history of org-hopping and the vine on their arms.

I was never informed officially or anything, but I couldn't go check it out because I'm pretty pessimistic about how any attempt at getting unenemied to Mag would go. Even though I didn't even actually do anything. I was just going to. (Hah I know I deserved that one, don't take it as me whining ploz.) It's just more convenient to keep the status, since chances are it'd end up getting slapped right back on anyways. And Phoebus' wardrobe has brightened up considerably since she's no longer been able to browse the shops in Magnagora. All at the expense of checking out interesting events...oh wells.

Well, I'm touched. But then I'd miss everyone!
Nariah2010-11-09 05:57:04
We didn't send out formal invites because it was, first and foremost, a festival to strengthen Magnagoran ties and all that jazz, and rewards were to go to Magnagorans only, then a lot of contents went over city aether too, like riddle contest, quiz, etc. Orv, Mae, and Shu were invited because I personally am in touch with them under guise of maintaining artistic relations with Hallifax.
Anyone who would have came crashing the party would have been welcomed though, Iytha popped up at the scavenger hunt just like that and -drumroll- won!
Beseech Orventa for information (pamphlet) for ideas on the Gala maybe! The whole schedule is there.
Edit: You all really overestimate how hard it is to get unenemied to Mag. You just have to contact the right -person-, one without a shaky and quick enemy button hand and without a huge e-peen to stroke.

Ah! It was an invitation? I woulda stayed longer! When I was there earlier bookcopying things for you, Hyde, and like, someone else all came in and were like, what you doing ehre? *peer* And I was all like, meep, Nariah needs stuff? and they said k. I was all nervous if I stayed for more of the fair then the auction I would be run through It makes me sad, cause I really like the steampunk feel mag has!
