I'd have to check to see who nuked it.
However, I remember taking over as empath and seeing Critical Damage (It is dead!) on the shield orb.

Epic done, and it was so worth it, super big happy rave for all the people that helped and supported me through it. Special thanks to Ixion. I'm still sitting here grinning about the whole thing. The key is so nice. And omg the family honour gain. Wheeeee!
You're quite welcome...

In light of all the commenting in regards to aetherflares:
Last night, I died twice during the aetherflare. Once to Aetherfoal when I was solo, I believe, and once when we all piled on a ship. It was one of the most fun things I have ever done in Lusternia, and to be quite honest, those promotions won't keep me in the game, but aetherflares will.
I want to give a shout out to the awesome awesome crew aboard Gambit - you fought really well. I was impressed at how Hallifax pulled together for that. Serenwilde, same goes to you. I remember seeing Yantra out there briefly (nearly targetted Mantra getting them mixed up), as well as Aetherfoal, Bolt, Keep, and probably a few others I've forgotten. We had the added advantage that we had the artifacts to get to the bubbles, and we have a huge fleet at our disposal. Furthermore, our ships are well built, a lot of them fully upgraded. Finally, our Navy is really well-rounded and we have a lot of capable crew.
So, it is not that Hallifax, or Gaudiguch, Magnagora or Serenwilde can't win a flare. We've seen Magnagora take some before, and they can do it again. The biggest problem right now is the fact that when that flared, we had primarly Celest and Glomdoring awake.
Believe it or not, though, that's my second flare. I managed to make it to the second flare ever and participate for like... 5 minutes, and haven't been able to since until now. They usually go about 4am my time, which on a school day - I'm not going to be awake.
I'll leave my rambling with this: Aetherflares are a reason for me to keep playing. Wooo Admin for implementing this!

Five responses to my casting call in as many hours. I love you, Hallifax.
Rivius2011-05-16 19:08:10
Even though we didn't win any bubbles, yay for my first aetherflare yesterday! We blew up lots of ships too, and this is my first time in aethership v aethership combat. Goodness, it really can be pretty hectic and fun o.o

You, sir, need to form a travelling troupe that can be hired out to directors elsewhere. I'm sure some arrangement could be reached for suitable distribution of culture and power and all that good noise.
Hell, if I could get five responses to a casting call ever, I might start writing again. Maybe if I knew I could go get Hallifax to produce my plays, I'd write one that could be produced on their stage. (Actually, I don't mind so much having them get the culture for it, but the stage itself... ick.)
Ileein2011-05-16 21:05:13
Our stage is a work of art.

Well, a few of the responses came from theatre novices, so if I can manage to make their first acting experience enjoyable (which might be challenging with a character like Daraius ), that might actually be a possibility. They all claim to have availability that coincides with mine, so that's a plus.

Daraius would totally nerd out at the chance to direct a Lendren play.
Lawliet2011-05-16 21:15:01
Or Lendren could just join Hallifax

I have directed maybe 50-75 people, and at least 80% of them were first-time actors, so that's not that unusual. There's a lot of churn. I know I got a number of "I have doing this on my checklist" people (it's a guild task, or I just want to have done everything once) who never came back, and then any number of people who'd go dormant between plays, and ones whose schedules didn't line up with the production ever again, and so on. That said, a lot of my work was in the rough early time of theater, or in Serenwilde's decline or interregnum, so I can well imagine it wouldn't be that way now or elsewhere or both.

There were a couple of times I considered it, but really, it's just not gonna happen. Lendren really wouldn't fit, anyway.

I'm always available to act, assuming there is no schedule conflict. You need to stop being so late for my time.

Bluh, I agree. I'm always (when I'm on during flares) running around like mad or on a ship alone, not having a whole lot of fun.

We need more aetherspace fights...Not so much aetherflares...But something like it! So much fun pretending to be Captain Picard.
I completely 100% agree! Solo PvP and group raiding are all outdated. It's time for us Lusty people to take it to the next level. We need some new fun things to do in aetherspace like mining for resources or aethership quests.
Nerf-aetherhunting?? Hell, no... Buff it even more! Get more people out into aetherspace...

People get family honour for participating in a Play that wins at the World Stage - hopefully this'll get a few people guilted by their mothers into participating...
