More like blood, flesh, and large amounts of fungal spores!
That's gross dude. D:
EDIT: Oh wait! I forgot my rave.
Phoebus isn't dying anymore! Hooray! I had a lot of fun with this, especially the parts where she'd freak out and lose her memory. But I think she'll be free of horrible ailments for a good long while. A bit tiring.

Yay, I have to say I'm quite happy Phoebus isn't dying!
... Though she never told Ilyssa in the first place.

Besides Arte and Tsianina (and later Ileein while she was still coherent and trying to find help) she didn't tell anyone, so don't feel bad.

Kind of glad I was having adventures in hair dye last night instead of being exposed to Phoebus weirdness.
I had to put off the reasons I actually got online to handle Phoebus sick thingies. Now I'm trying to remember what I meant to do in the first place.

K now imagine if there had been a raid. "Kthxbai Phoebus, off to go die on the Air Plane. G'luck with dying and vomiting and stuff." *abandons*

If there had been she would have dragged herself out of bed and hobbled her way to the attackers, valiantly breathing in their faces.

That whole think was pretty awesome, even if I just stood in the corner pretending to dreamweave.
Now I'm really curious how other orgs would have handled a similar illness. We used science, what would you guys use?

In Magnagora we would do one of three things;
1) assuming that the disease was one that was previously unknown, have the afflicted watched day and night to note the progression of the illness. Then ship the body off to Morvior to dissect and detail
2) hand the useless bag of germs over to Kebira
3) hand the useless bag of germs over to Gorgulu

You can't move without finding me someone else to pester, so long as it's not someone else already being pestered; I'd give you a list but it would be too long for a forum post.

Anisu actually proposed isolating Phoebus and observing the progression. It would have totally fit with Hallifax' everything for science theme!
Ileein2010-10-31 00:46:15
That was what I was about to do before I had to leave.
I've also noted that it's no fun to play a doctor... if you stick to that silly thing called the Hippocratic Oath.

I want to feed our sick people to Gorgulu though, it's quick, efficient, and horribly amusing.
Ileein2010-10-31 00:53:35
We could always feed them to the Diamond Sphere. We can call it the Collective Acceptable Termination protocol.

Well if I hadn't stepped down and was still GA, I'm sure my guildmates wouldnt've had just let me waste away.
And silly, the last time someone got sick it was , and we fixed them up right quick with some and a lil' elbow grease.

psh Sentinels obey the research people so they would totally do so if Ileein told them to!
(we are going of topic though, sorry forum gods!)
Nariah2010-10-31 03:51:52
What Hallifax needs to do now is write a proper medical report and analysis. Let me point you in the direction of the infamous Study on Minoris Somgina, a prestige winning scholarly piece detailing the scourge that once plagued Magnagora.
Pity we can't quite share the real details of that particular trollish inside joke

It's collectivism folks. Even without the hippocratic oath, you'd be duty bound to take care of Phoebus. Because she's part of the collective and needs help.

Hallifax doesn't have a hippocratic oath, more like an optional Hippocratic suggestion.
It starts:
First, do no harm... to the Higher Castes.
