Isn't it hard to claim that when they specifically said it was about the skills ('Shofangi hinder better so that's why we want one')?

Zayahs were talking about what an awesome movie it would make. Wayward child from the capitalist and materialist West journeys to the spiritual East to rediscover themselves and learn magic super secret kungfu from magical Asian wise man, then returns to his homeland with his new found zen wisdom. And probably beats up his former bullies or something. Now replace movie with play and West with Hallifax and East with Serenwilde.

Not when I heard another conversation where they said exactly that (the culture thing).

It was said in that conversation too, at the end.

I can't tell whether this is pot stirring or general amusement. I didn't find the meeting very entertaining, so if it is amusement so at least someone got a kick out of it.

As Rika said, it helps being on the outside. And having all the text there to read at once, so there is no staring at your screen wishing to choke somebody (which is all I can think my reaction would be if I was actually involved in it).

When I first heard about the original conversation I pretty much had that reaction about the whole thing but then I realised how funny this actually is and by the time I saw the other conversation I was just laughing.

I would just like to chime and say, either tell us what you're talking about, or drop it. You can make subtle insinuations in PMs.

A Hallifaxian getting the Shofangi skills and returning to Hallifax to use the skills with Serenwilde's consent, that was pretty much in the first post on the subject.
