Absolutely.

I sing just as well, too.

I wish Vernal Ascension was still an RP thing. sad.gif Oh well.

The beauty seal still kind of is...

EDIT: ^ A brain fart commonly found in nature.

Yeah, but you can't get from Beauty to winning VA, unless you happen to already be the kind of person who can win the other Seals too.

Unless you're so beautiful and charismatic inside-out that your friends and allies selflessly support you 100% in ascending. If that was the case, you'd have earned it.
Lendren2011-01-02 04:43:43
Even if someone could possibly win that much support without also being a combat-monster in Lusternia (which I don't think can happen), I doubt you could really stand a chance in the final trial anyway.
Arel2011-01-02 04:45:19
I think Ileein was referring to org VAs, not the event TAs, as in no org is going to spend 2mil power on a noncom VA even if the person 100% embodied the ideals of the org.
Ileein2011-01-02 04:48:03
Yup.
Lendren2011-01-02 04:52:37
Ah, yes. Well, I agree.
Furien2011-01-02 04:57:49
Hey, I'm idealistic.

The phenomenon of 'noncom' is a sliding scale, really. I could see Galaphyrae being ascended in Serenwilde, for example. She was the greatest noncom ever.

Oh, I was talking about True Ascendants.

But really, what is Hallifax about anyways? Art and science. Hallifax has never been concerned with martial state of affairs. I don't really think it's unfathomable that we raised someone through Beauty. In case some of you have forgot, this is a roleplaying game. Anything and everything can most definitely be justified through RP. Although that's an entirely different argument. Since the essence drain change it's unlikely we'd ever have more than two Ascendants, especially considering we're a new org and way behind everyone else. One of them would most definitely need to be a strong combatant.
Shamarah2011-01-02 05:03:51
That argument makes no sense. The entire point of a Vernal God, even from an RP standpoint, is that they are super-strong and defend/attack with your org. Why would you raise a crappy fighter?
Unknown2011-01-02 05:03:52
Every time I see or hear the word balestone I am gripped with indescribable rage.
Razenth2011-01-02 05:05:35
In the stories, when that city raised that little girl trapped in Muud to Vernal Godhood, the dwarf Vernal and Urlach were like, pissed that they wasted it on the little girl.
Xiel2011-01-02 05:10:03
Dionamus wasn't exactly a combatant either.

Not meaning that I disagree with the general sentiment surrounding VA-hood anyway. Unless you're set up to be more than just a roleplayer (ie. questers, general knowledge buff), chances aren't going to be high for your consideration. And even if you are a quester or a general knowledge buff, your chances pale in comparison to a fighter.

That's a matter of opinion. A Beauty Vernal would be powerful through their influence and words(village revolts anyone). Isn't that the whole point of that Seal? It doesn't make sense because you refuse to see it any other way.
Lehki2011-01-02 05:13:04
Saoirse really toughed that thing out to the very last, missed it by just a minute it looked like. ):
Lilia2011-01-02 05:13:08
The Seals and Vernal Ascendants have nothing to do with each other.

There isn't really a Beauty Vernal. Vernals are raised from their nexus, not through any of the domoths, like Beauty.
Sylandra2011-01-02 05:16:33
Ideally, you want to raise someone who both embodies your org's RP and will be a good investment combat-wise. Saying that it's impossible to find that combination is kind of silly, as they aren't mutually exclusive. Rare? Yes. Impossible? No.
