Yeah, there are more people who are way more whory ( I mean, doing anything to get an advantage) than Xenthos, so I think praise for Xenthos and his team isn't undeserved. smile.gif

edit: omg I want a personal thank you post from THE Xenthos himself. Congratulations Xenthosssssss.

I don't think anything was "in the bag". Inagin had the lead for at least half (maybe more) of the competition.

Congratulations to everyone who placed!

Before we toss out accusations, let's just stick to the the main point- CHANGE and add more random lines each year and people can't really automate it (at least, not as easily). Not that Xenthos did or anything. Just saying. It's just totally dull at this point. It doesn't hurt to freshen it up and give more people the chance to win with such a juicy artifact on the line.

Honestly? I expected a few new lines this year. This was the first year with no new lines at all.

I also expected the critters to change years ago, but they are still furrikins.

I don't have a problem with shaking it up a bit, personally. That would be refreshing, in fact. I will note that 112 is the record for furrikins saved, and that's primarily because it's the same-old same-old (the number goes up every year).

Save the merian! (fishie noise)

Aye, congrats to Xenthos. The number of furrikin you healed was really outstanding!

People could farm them for gold though... just like they can farm Eventru's priestesses and hand them in to Gognigin as Merians.

Wot? I was talking about for Life... merian instead of furrikin. In regards to Eventru's realm, that place is a fortress. A+ to those who farm it!

Step 1) Find Merian.
Step 2) Feed it mistletoe.
Step 3) ???
Step 4) Profit.

(This is my first time doing this layout, I hope I have done it correctly!)

Edit: I am not sure that I have, it is far too obvious that step 3 == "get corpse and hand it over to Gognigin"

I stopped trying in Life because I had a chance to talk to my boyfriend (who has been away at basic training) for the first time in 2 months.

Worth it. wub.gif This was the least-fun challenge so far I think anyway. Congratulations to everyone who placed.

A certain un-named someone's 'raids' are really just burning my power at this point. :/

Quick tweet that work stress is gonna probably keep me away from the game for a few weekends. (Doing computer stuff in your day job can sometimes make using a computer a little annoying). Which is why I posted. Also I wanted to give myself a little explanation as to why I don't know as much about the Gnomes as I should, as I was travelling with them during my long absence. So that was why I posted.
Neos2011-02-06 03:30:35
imo Eventru is one of the biggest trolls ever, he just seems to do it in a way that's generally funny and you can't really get mad at him ingame over it.
Ilyssa2011-02-06 03:34:42
Eventru's zap should be EPICALLY verbose.

I'm pretty sure that the Templars have the most difficult GR2-3 I've ever seen. (I've seen it for, say, 3-4 or 4-5 and beyond. But they really ask a lot of their poor little seekers!)
Dysolis2011-02-06 05:12:07
Bye bye cubix hello cameo.

I can't wait till this grind is over with. I wanna do other stuff in game but don't have the time. And I'm doing it the hard way because aether hunting looks intimidating and I'm not sure it is something my character would do.
Razenth2011-02-06 05:31:45
Please don't tell me that by grind you mean the grind to Demigod. If so, that's just sad.
Unknown2011-02-06 05:44:56
Eh, partly. Why is it sad? I make a decent amount of gold this way too. Not that I need it. Even if I do decide to do aether hunting I don't really have the time for that either. Considering how little time I have to play I'm not doing too bad. Made it from 80-85 in a week. I shouldn't be playing as much as I am it is cutting into my sleep.
