That's not really true. The extra health etc. from getting to level 100, refresh, ascend, +2 to important stats and the ability to participate in domoths all open up aspects of the game that would not otherwise be possible.

It's a fine line between people complaining that demi is 'not worth it' and people complaining if demi gave more significant bonuses and became even more necessary to participate in combat. I think the balance between those two in Lusternia isn't too bad.

It's +1 stats that you have to purchase individually for essence. Refresh also has to be purchased.

Since you don't even get what you stated, do you think the balance is bad now?

*shrug* If you bash all the way to demi, what's an extra 2.1 million for con and refresh? Even if you add additional chunks of 2 mill for other stats, it still pales in comparison to the time investment needed to get to demi in the first place.

I suspect that if the cost to get from titan to demi was increased by say 12 million (about the cost of a full set of demi powers excluding the second tradeskill) noone would bat an eyelid. It would perhaps be another round of aetherbashing on a double xp day. The fact that it's more visible due to customizable demi powers, people seem to get all upset about it.

Given that that's +1 to ONE stat, and not +2 to all... pretty big difference!

I still think that given this system, all the old perks of demigod, like more stats and increased should come back.

I think ascendant powers should be purchasable. Weights are already properly limiting demigods. Ascend, +1 to stats, and being able to participate in stage 1 Domoths isn't that huge of a deal for an endgame reward. Just look at how other IRE games handle it, and I'm sure you'll find the new Lusternia lacking. (ascendants are a far far league away that is accessible to a miniscule portion of demigods, so they are a moot point)

And this, to me, is the biggest problem. Special Little Snowflake systems are only fun for the snowflakes.
