Wonder how long it'll be before this Glom/Celest cycle ends and Mag gets back to the top. You'd think with 3v2 we could get a decent zerg together but it's not likely if our top combatants start defecting to Glom (lol) :/
I direct you to my sig good sir.
And we have Eventru, everybody loves them some Eventru.

What, who's defecting now.
And right, it's 3v2, Magnaserefax has more than enough people to take on glom/celest, the ascension proved it!

Submitted my plate design today.
Item: Fullplate Type: Plate Org: Blacksquall Designer: Tetra
Commodities: steel 240 diamond 10
Mortal Reviews: Allowed
IMPORTANT: The main noun MUST use one of these: FULLPLATE, PLATEMAIL, PLATE
Appearance:
a composite suit of black diamond fullplate
Dropped:
Drinking light with a subtle sheen, a composite suit of black diamond rests here.
Examined:
Wrought from tempered darksteel, this sleek plate has been coated with a
chatoyant enamel. Embossing the nigrescent alloy in fluid light, diamond
fibres have been polymerized with the steel to reinforce its durability.
Masterful craftsmanship leaves the suit form-fitting and pliable on the
wearer, allowing for ease of movement and dynamic flexibility. Elegant
pualdrons meet the rerebraces with garlands of finely layered plate,
reaching to encase the wearer's arms in stygian gauntlets. The cuirass
and plackart have been joined through micronic bonds, finally merging
with the sollerets to create an immaculate transition of jet black
steel. Shards of black diamond serve as the only embellishment on this
suit, set against the breast in an ornate mandala plaque. Affording
protection and swiftness, this fullplate is flawless in its uniformity.

A very large portion of those people don't bother much with regular combat/show up consistently/put forth anywhere near as much perseverance normally.
Unknown2011-03-03 00:35:54
Well I'm interested as to why, you have a bigger pool of players, shiny, if not shinier skills, and capable fighters. It really can't just be consistency, can it.
Lehki2011-03-03 00:50:43
Because Ascension is the big once a year event so a lot more people plan to show up for it, I guess?
I'm not really sure how we have shinier skills except for Hallifax now.
I also know there a number of Seren's who'll take one, maybe two deaths and give up. In ascension pretty much everybody will just keep coming back no matter how much they die.

Mirami2011-03-03 00:53:32
Also, bear in mind there are two Serens over the IG age of 100 that actually lead raids/defenses. There's a definite lack of knowledge/experience in that regard (long-term knowledge of the game) that puts Seren on a different level-- less omnitrans fighters, less fighters who understand constructs (two of us, when flares first came out)... There might be capable fighters, but it takes more than capable fighters to build an organization, and much more to lead that organization.
Rika2011-03-03 00:54:02
Most Serens just don't care enough about what they fight for. You'll find that a majority will continue to defend even after a few deaths, but when it comes to domoths and such, usually we're not even fighting for ourselves so the incentive just isn't the same.
Oh, and I can't be bothered fighting for whiny non-coms. I like the productive-in-other-ways kind.

I imagine that fighting to gain something for yourselves instead of always just to help someone else out is a better incentive in the long run.

We have no base to work off. We can't even make that first step.

Saying that really doesn't help you any in establishing one.

I can't force people into wanting to fight. I feel I've already done a lot more in trying to improve the situation than what most others can claim and since they don't want/care for it, I don't really mind. It's a lot less stressful removing yourself from it all, anyway. After all, I'm here to enjoy myself and choosing when I care enough to participate is more fun.
