An increasing pool of things people want to buy with credits vs with gold. The fact that traders tend to constantly undercut each other and make everything with gold more accessible also contributes to this.

Also, we just got pliers and endowments publicly available of recent, and there's no dingbat/credit sale promos going on for the first time in ages. People are so used to them, I think there's a lot less buying going on. People are waiting for the next month.
