As a note, I was standing at open dwarves at the time trying to get someone, anyone, to influence them at that time. Poor Arix was having issues keeping up.

(That's why the conversation came up, in fact!)

We'd probably have gotten it with better feelings too, or at the very least better organization. We're also really starved for villages. Our commodity cache weeps bitter tears as it cries itself to sleep all alone.

Oh man, almost had Munsia at that time, but then I lost my demesne and things went downhill. Was fun though. Would have gone better if I'd been able to keep my demesne and we'd been more coordinated.

Because there is winter? Just because it is hot in a desert doesn't that mean that it doesn't have varying temperatures according to the seasons. Although weed hibernates during summer.

Yes there is, it's just not winter in the sense of the word that most people are used to. tongue.gif

edit: In the same sense, there is also summer in tundra zones, it's more similar to a spring as most people are used to, but it is summer compared to the normal temperatures felt and the ability of things to grow or not.

Yeah, but, they're cacti! They're supposed to be hardy little buggers! A teeny little drop in temperature shouldn't kill them off...

Yeah, I'm just a little upset that I have to wait two more RL days before I can work on the Hand again. What with all those invading Mesa Compound trills and lucidians, deformed lucidians and what not, winter has to come and disrupt my plans as well. Grr.
