Actually, I had forgotten to do so. I had also forgotten to do a lot of things. Also, she was favoured at GR4, so it didn't affect her ability to contest in any way. And it was mainly for helping novices. The other thing, I just felt deserved mentioning.

Just saying. And you could have contested as well if you wanted. It's not like it's a closed election. We just needed a GA, and she is the only one around enough other than you who is >GR3, doesn't hold a position that prevents it, and around enough to do stuff.

In my experience, it's not nearly as common as getting a CF, but there's nothing unusual about getting a GF for commune defense. I give them out periodically if I see someone who is really into defense, always ready to defend, because that's the job of a Serenguard. They should be rewarded for doing it well.

We've got several advancement tasks (all worth a GF) specifically for participation in defense, raids, and such. Reward what you want to see happen.

I suppose it's just easier to only do it for City/Commune, it makes sense if your guild has a connection to the planes, but either way, it's still a service to the guild and its members to defend the home.

I think it's one of those things where, if your guild does it regularly, it can go unremarked.

If your guild does not, on the other hand... well, the situation does look suspicious in such a case, heh.

There's also the fact that I have done it before, but my predecessor, who Gleip may be used to, never did(to my knowledge. I was not in the guild for her full term).

I applaud the lack of super drama here, since it could easily have been an "OMG YOU ARE ACCUSING ME OF WHAT?!" moment. Rave for both sides being understanding!
