I figured there are quite a few minecrafters out there, so I figured why not start a minecraft discussion thread.
To start off one of my future projects is to -try- and make my best rendition of Gaudiguch. Only problem is pyramids require a metric butt-load of blocks to make and in order to make the illuminati pyramid i'd have to get alooooot of gold.

I've been playing with some people online, which is fun. Though, one of my single player games, I fell into this huge underground space, which I gotta explore now...hrm...

It is quite fun. My primary building world single player is basically just all caves... which I constantly get lost in.
Was thinking of making a model of Hallifax.

But gold, at least thus far (I haven't seen the lastest updates; I need to actually get it properly downloaded/installed again) is completely useless.
But thinking about Lusternia and Minecraft.... I think I might model Celest.

You people are cruel I worked so hard to keep away from minecraft, but then you made this and I had to try it.
So. Do I have to pay to play with other people, or is it free like the single player?

the updated version of the game is not free. It costs about 15 USD...
I am so glad when i tried it (paid one) it glitched a lot and the such. I don't need another time waster
Seraku2010-10-25 21:18:58
It is $15 to buy the game, but that's the only time you'll ever have to pay for it. Plus you get access to survival multiplayer and infdev.

There was much weeping, for I was on a multiplayer server, and it went down. This is after I harvested 1368 chunks of clay.
Then there was rejoicing, as an op gave me the 500 the computer stole.

I'm carving out a nation state on my friend's multiplayer server, it's fun. And with access to /give you can actually work with the buggy fluids the mp servers have!
Seraku2010-11-14 21:25:09
Wooh, liquids finally work properly and other stuff too. Also, my next projects will be a railroad network, a giant creeper made of cacti, and multiple tnt cannons to shoot at other people's fortresses in the multiplayer server. Only problem is the HORRIBLY annoying block lag going on, making mining nigh impossible.

Yeah, that lag makes working on my mining complex a nightmare. I keep telling myself not to abuse /give for anything I can gather for real, but damn, the lag...
Seraku2010-11-17 18:30:07
Tomorrow notch plans to work on server side health and fix the lag issues so hopefully that'll be put in this week.
Seraku2010-11-21 03:03:06
I'm curious now, with the nearing addition of smp health what's everyones thoughts on this? I think it'll be a massive change, going from "no prob, I can jump off my tower lulz" to "Okay, I need a more efficient tower to get down to the ground. Also, the addition of PvP worries me. Currently on my current server, i'm the underdog. I've two very large fortresses nearby belonging to two very territorial jerks. Thankfully my humble tower is made of obsidian.
Sylphas2010-11-21 22:52:21
We might turn monsters on if they're killable. I have no PvP concerns. Looking forward to the minecart/boat fix.
