Project Paradox
Holy smokes, that is awesome.
Gaudiguch, please let us raid you into the ground so we can see what Halli's counter attack looks like.
Ssaliss2011-02-26 00:30:36
Totally! I'd love to see the Halli->Gaudi one sometime...
Ssaliss2011-02-26 00:39:24
And it continues! After the last flutterby cloud was released...

A stray stream of twisting, rainbow-coloured butterflies breaks off from the cloud as they drift home, sinking into the Caomihe Dell.
Joyous laughter turn to screams as strange, multi-hued lights flash up from the Dell.
An acrid, rotten stench that turns the nose drifts out of Caoimhe Dell, a sense of revulsion and disgust filling you almost instantly.

I'm so in love with those visuals. Props to whomever designed that sequence.
Now it would be especially awesome if that attack actually caused whole spires in Hallifax to be disabled or warped out of time temporarily, completely inaccessible.
EDIT: Just to clarify, is this a one-off Divine-controlled event, or is it the equivalent of the angel-attacking-Magnagora thing we see every once in a while?

Paradox from Hallifax's vantage:
Great plumes of rainbow smoke rise up from the Eternal Flame of Gaudiguch, wafting northeasterly
over Mount Zoaka.
As the cloud of prismatic smoke drifts over the Inner Sea it becomes clear that it is not smoke but
a cloud of butterflies, slowly winging their way towards the city of Hallifax.
Twisting off into different directions, 5 streams of chaos butterflies descend upon the crystalline
city, the crystal spires flickering as as a storm of space-time disturbances begin to manifest
across the city, disrupting the flow of energy.
A low thrum echoes through the skies as the Generators of Hallifax roar into action, crackling under
the heavy flow of energy as a field of temporal flux begins to expand outwards from the centre of
the city.
As the field of temporal energies expands across the city, many of the chaos butterflies explode
into a prismatic mist while others disappear into folds in space-time, paradoxically disappearing
entirely.
The field of time flux recedes back into the heart of the city, the flow of energy through the city
of Hallifax weakened yet holding strong.

There isn't actually any real point in raiding Continuum/Vortex unless you're going to kill smobs. It doesn't drain power and there's no RP reason to do it except to be a pest.

Raiding to drain power is a mechanical reason, there are plenty of RP reasons to raid a lot of places, including Vortex/Continuum.

But...killing mobs on Vortex and Continuum doesn't drain power...and said mobs are almost entirely irrelevant to the organization in question.

I think it was either Xenthos or Lendren who intentionally assigned insane fines so that you'd come talk to them about it.

I dunno about Lendren, but I do know that Xenthos has stated before that is the exact reason why he puts really high fines.
