I'm currently working on an art project (click here if you want the details) and I need to do some 'research' that can't really be done in game. So I'm coming to you for help! If I could just get a few people's opinions on some things, it would be a lot of help.
On the in game map, the first floor of one tower is on the same level as the ground floor of a tower above it. This means that the Aeromancers guildhall is slightly taller than the Spire of Lawgivers. Obviously this is not meant to be the case, so my question is: Just how tall -are- the towers?
Reading descriptions of the city gives the impression that it is made up of all sorts of different colors, however, looking at the room descs, I realized most of the platforms and some of the towers are made of white marble. I've only looked very closely at the Company towers, and Beryl is the only one that has a beryl colored platform and is made of beryl itself. The Sapphire tower, for example, is only half blue, the rest is white. So the question is: Do I ignore this fact, and make all the towers and platforms match/one color each?
Are the many staircases spirals, or straight shots?
Several mandalas mention 'simple fractal patterns', but from what I know of fractals, I'm not sure there's such a thing. Could someone show an example of a -simple- mandala that uses fractals?
What are those crystal plinths for?

Details may possibly be forthcoming with the plinths.

I've been trying to figure that out forever, and you get insider information? D:
I feel left out.

Sorry, that's not what I'm looking for at all. Read the post, there's specific questions.

The IG map isn't mean to be proportionate when it comes to distances between things (or even the size of rooms). I think you'd be safe to assume that the towers on each level are about equalish to one another and are that they don't extend up above the tops of towers on higher levels.

Just do whatever looks best! If I had to do a simple summary, I'd say everything is white marble/crystal with the company towers being just their own color.

No clue. Spiral stair cases sound cooler though.

Look at the Serpienski gasket on the left side of the page. That seems pretty simple.

Only Ileein knows.
Ileein is actually Elostian. Sorry.
