The moss is so annoying.
Just build roads/floors on all the non farm/pasture areas that can grow moss.

But that's time my masons could be using to do something productive.
Like making blocks. Does anyone else turn stone into blocks before using it for walls, or do I just care about aesthetics too much? If I have sand on my map I usually put a glass roof over my channeled overground farm, too.

Go to mason's workshop, set it to only be used by dwarves above proficient skill level or whatever's appropriate, set all your peasants to also be masons, send your actual mason to work on some blocks/whatever or maybe put him in a burrow, then designate the construction orders. 8D

By Armok, there is so much gold and nothing else.
