Exactly! You have to give the appearance that everything you do is correct, justified and perfect.

But you do understand that by placing a vote without suggesting reason, even by saying the reasons were stated already, you risk appearing to be random voting, or voting via bandwagoning?
Yep, random posting is bad, however, I did state in my voting post that I found his timely vote that nearly caused a No-lynch suspicious, I thought it was clear that that was why my sights jumped onto him. I thought I explained it pretty clearly too, but I guess it was lost in my wordiness.

I don't - Richard Griffiths played Uncle Monty in Withnail & I!
"There is, you'll agree, a certain je ne sais quoi oh, so very special about a firm... young... carrot."

Uncle Porkflaps actually died because he didn't take in enough gravy in one day, causing his entire nervous system to shut down.
Caerulo is looking mildly suspicious, but I might be willing to let some goofs slide. Anymore goofs and I will add him to my list of people to be highly paranoid about and maybe peer at in a funny way. But before casting any votes today, I want to wait to hear from more people, in case anyone garnered any juicy tidbits last night to share with us.

Hmm. My thoughts so far is that Caerulo is definitely the prime suspect in my eyes, along with Dynami coming in second. Why Caerulo? His very timely vote for Gleip to almost make a no-lynch, despite not reading the last few posts. It's just a bit too much of a coincidence to me.
Why Dynami? He's far too lurky. The only (or at least one of the few, and definitely the last) post he made during last day was to say "Ooh, I agree with Solanis, and I'll vote for Trinit". Nothing more at all after that.
Solanis was definitely weird last day as well. With his rather aggressive style towards the end, it was almost as if he actually knew for certain that Trinit was a Death Eater... I still believe his claim as Snape though (it's a far too dangerous role to claim).

Well, it seemed like it would end up a Solanis vs Trinit so it's understandable wanting to push for the one not him. However speculating in if he has investigative powers won't do us much good yet. It may very well be that Solanis did indeed roleblock Trinit and used that as his justification.

I really don't have anything to contribute to what other people say because we have gotten very little info and if I make an accusation, it will just be based off of a word that didn't sound right in a post leading to me being paranoid.

If it was just a "him or me" situation, in my eyes a no-lynch would've been as satisfying. He did, however, rather adamantly state that Trinit had to be lynched, even after the no-lynch situation where he was out of the woods. But yeah, all we can do (barring a reveal of some kind) is speculate, so I'll just stop here.

Oh stop with the "Oh, Person is a little bit shifty but I'll just ignore it".
All day yesterday you defended Trinit with the exact same sentiment. Example:

I'm still more suspicious of Solanis than Trinit, honestly. Trinit's kind of doing a poor job of defending himself that's made me waver in my feelings on that front, but I still don't think Solanis' reasons for being suspicious of him are solid enough to be pushing so hard for a lynch this whole day.
You just kept going and going like that yesterday, defending Trinit and attacking me.
Phoebus defended Trinit excessively yesterday. Now she's defending Caerulo.
Hmmmmmmmm.
Major, major FoS on Phoebus.
And I'm going to put Vote Caerulo. If the momentum on Caerulo fails, I am switching to Phoebus without hesitation.

How am I defending Caerulo? I said I was a little suspicious of him. And I didn't say I was just going to totally ignore it, just that as it is right now isn't enough to make me put a vote on someone. If I get more of a reason to? Sure. No problem. Am I at that point right now? No. He's getting a lot of votes already and we don't have any other information yet. I don't want to jump on the bandwagon vote just because everyone else is suspicious of him- I'm going to vote when I'm suspicious of someone, even if you threaten to switch your vote to me if I don't go along with what you want.
And just because I was more suspicious of you than of Trinit doesn't mean I was doing it to defend him (yeah, sure, I can see where it can look that way; I kind of had an "oh god damnit" moment when his role was shown). I never thought your reasons really matched up with voting for him so intensely, and once you claimed Snape and Trinit turned out to be the head honcho Death Eater, I basically took that as a "suspicions confirmed". I might be wrong, but I'm 99% sure I'm not. And I'm not going to be pushed into dropping the issue so easily.

You were the next person I was going to push for a lynch for anyway, as I hinted at in my first post today. So I'm not trying to intimidate you into 'going along with what I want'.
And you can say you weren't doing it to defend him all you want.

I was initially very unsure of Solanis' hostility towards Trinit, but I think he's proven himself. He found the big guy. I'm not a big fan of hid aggressive style, but I'm learning that's just how things are done. I'm not quite ready to jump on the Caerulo train yet, I think I'll re-read some stuff and see if anything jumps out at me, with these suspicions in mind.

That's what I'm worried about. It's too perfect. How did he find the big guy? Sheer dumb luck? It's possible, but it seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing. I think it's a ploy to get in our good graces. "He took out the big V, there's no way he's on their side! Good work Solanis, pats on the back all around." It would be absolutely stupid for a townie to just be able to know who all the scum were, especially head honcho scum. I'm not buying it.

He never suggested that he knew who all the scum were, nor do I think he does. I believe that Solanis is safe for now, Trinits claim was fairly convincing to a number of people (myself included).
I don't mean to get off topic from Solanis and Caerulo, but who isn't/hasn't been talking?

I'm also going to point out that as far as we know mechanically, the Big Dude isn't even that important to the Death Eaters. No one's win condition, not even theirs, depends on his life. Taking him out looks real damn good for the person who did it, but in terms of the win conditions it's the same as taking out some flunky.
Unless someone knows otherwise?
Lilia2010-12-22 01:44:36
Well, since he had a nightkill, and someone still died last night, I'd say it was a pretty good move to get rid of him. In mafia terms, isn't there usually a head mafia guy? If so, V-man would definitely fit the bill. And he counted as a Death Eater, so we still needed him dead.
