Oh snap.

This has some rather interesting implications.
Ssaliss2010-11-16 03:23:39
Yeah... I definitely didn't think Phoebs was scum. Man, now I have to go through the thread again, reanalyzing everything sad.gif
Ssaliss2010-11-16 03:24:52
But first, naptime.
Ayisdra2010-11-16 03:25:14
Well, on the flip side, since she knows the most it would make sense for her to be scum >.>
Ayisdra2010-11-16 03:26:06
and that means we have a third party....unless the scum wanted to kill off their own.

Couldn't it be a vigilante? I thought those were town. Or do those only daykill?

In what way? Being a fan of the flavour-source really has very little to do with scumminess.

We do know all of the midnight crew are represented now, at least, due to what was revealed in Phoebus' role. That leaves three scum left, with room for a wild card or two on the side that we may or may not need to worry about.

Phoebus picked the Ace of Spades during sign-up, so that rather firmly puts a nail in any theory that there are match-ups between card colour/symbol and role (hearts =! spades, Lorick was one of the aces so not all the mafia are aces, etc). From this point we should consider the card pick-off a red herring unless future evidence can suggest otherwise.

If the mafia identities were included in the role information as Phoebus' role reveal would indicate, then mafia all knew who each other were before day 1 started. Sooooo... Othero is starting to look more suspicious.

The mafia kill last night was probably Die. Go look him up in the Wiki, it will make (some) sense in regard to his power.

Anything else we have to go on?

Town can have their NKers, yes. Either the hypothetical SK managed to get a hit in on us, or our vig did a good job.

This has interesting implications indeed..
Unknown2010-11-16 03:41:04
You know, Silf, if we all start talking in circles again, someone's bound to suggest lynching another inactive. Do you really not have much else in the way of insight to bring up now? Couldn't hurt!
Unknown2010-11-16 03:44:24
Give me some time, I'm going through the thread again! My apologies for not being around much the last few days, I was at Anime Festival Asia getting depressed by being assigned to the Touhou booth and not being able to buy anything until the crowd disappeared. sad.gif But I got plenty of loot.. wub.gif
Ayisdra2010-11-16 03:46:03
Well, I was just saying as I didn't think Casi would give us a pro-town NKer ...but that is just my thoughts on how Casi would work ....
Ssaliss2010-11-16 04:00:11
Sorry for a (probably) stupid comment, but... what I find interesting is that Phoebus was the only one killed. Doesn't the mafia kill one person per night, generally?

Yeah. Sometimes a few of them can nightkill, other times there is one nightkill that will float around to different mafia members depending on who dies when. In this case, it might have been decided that Phoebus would kill someone, but an SK or vig got her first.

This is because most of the time, the GM will allow actions to go off in the order they receive them.
Ssaliss2010-11-16 04:09:44
Ah, makes sense. Thanks! And now I'm actually off to bed this time ninja.gif

I'll start with a quick rundown of the voting patterns of Day 1, and the reasons for each vote. Will come back after lunch to digest the stuff I found interesting while going through everything.

Rika votes Arix (because he chose Joker)
Ssaliss votes Ayisdra (random card draw)
Ayisdra votes Rika ("never trust the Queen of Hearts")
Caerulo votes Arix (because he chose Joker)
Othero votes Caerulo (for assuming the cards mean anything)
Othero unvotes (sees a connection)
Vendetta votes Kiradawea (random)
Gleip votes Phoebus (for saying the most while saying the least)
Kiradawea votes Othero (for rolefishing)
Silferras votes Othero (for retracting statement about card connection)
Phoebus votes Othero (to get the ball rolling, bandwagon)
Ileein votes Othero (not convinced by defense, "we will regret this later" but "not enough information, apologises if he's "sacrificial lamb")
Caerulo unvotes (thinks Othero as good as roleclaimed Clover)
Ssaliss votes Othero (statements going back and forth, better than a random vote)
Phoebus unvotes ("meant to do this in case our bandwagon hopping got a little out of hand before we heard from everyone")
Arath votes Phoebus (too much thematic guesswork instead of analysis, hopping onto Othero bandwagon)
Rika restates vote for Arix (Joker + Casilu = mess)
Arath unvotes, votes Othero (to break the current silence)
Othero votes Arath (OMGUS, for 'breaking the silence' being his reason for voting)
Phoebus votes Arath (for being flippy-floppy)
Silferras votes Arath (for contributing no reasoning to the discussion and just voting for the person with the most votes)
Vendetta votes Arath ("Meh")
Diamondais votes Arath (feelings, doesn't like the "vote for someone so people talk, but doesn't talk/add anything himself" move)
Ileein unvotes (thinks everyone is grasping at straws, "suspiciousness level leveled out on everyone", explaining oddities as quirks rather than tells)
Diamondais unvotes (Arath is posting and explaining himself)
Kiradawea unvotes, votes Phoebus (various, manipulation of Arath's posts, vote indecision, withdrawing vote on Othero, "hesitant to unvote because someone is explaining themselves")
Gleip votes deadline (any death better than nothing among Arath, Othero, Phoebus)
Ssaliss unvotes, votes Arath (too many accusations, "how is it revealed that Phoebus is scum", thinks it's just MSPA eagerness)
Caerulo votes Arath (trap doesn't make sense, to put him at 6/8)
Gleip unvotes, votes Lorick (inactivity)
Rika unvotes, vote Arath (since nothing happened, to get some info and prevent stagnation)
Kiradawea unvotes, votes Lorick (inactivity)
Othero unvotes (at Kira's suggestion, to prevent ninja-lynch)
Ileein votes Lorick ("can get behind a lynch the inactives movement")
Phoebus unvotes, votes Lorick ("more purpose than grasping at straws trying to find reasons to get rid of someone")
Othero votes Lorick ("can handle waiting out a day")
Caerulo unvotes, votes Lorick ("alright then")
Arath unvotes, votes Lorick ("I'll help")
Ayisdra unvotes, votes Lorick ("Let's welcome the night and move on to more useful info")
Ssaliss unvotes, votes Lorick ("Just in case")
Ileein2010-11-16 04:30:18
Hmm. Too late to really review this-- a mafia lynch in the first round? That's more than I'd expected in terms of information to mull over. Will look more closely in the morning.
Unknown2010-11-16 04:38:26
wtf.gif So I've been playing this game all wrong so far. Back at square one on who I think is who.
Rika2010-11-16 04:47:51
Who/what is Die?
Unknown2010-11-16 05:00:18
What do you mean?
Unknown2010-11-16 05:09:00
Oh, right, Die is a Felt member.
