Which campaign? And class/subclass for that matter?

Which campaign?

I started with Prophecies as a Mesmer.
Edit: I have yet to choose a sub-class.
Furien2010-11-27 05:06:56
Ah, well yeah, that's tough. You don't really gain exp that fast in prophecies, short of just going through the campaign as fast as possible, and even that is long. Factions and Nightfall are both far faster. If you don't have a secondary, it sounds like you're still in pre-Searing, which is not going to give you all that much exp.

Shiri seems to prefer Prophecies for some reason, though.

Is your surrounding environment green? It won't be for long. biggrin.gif

What? I don't prefer prophecies. Nightfall is way better.

Guild Wars games are designed so that you don't have to worry about grinding. Just play through the game, and you'll get what you need. You'll get to the highest level at about the mid-point in the story. You should really just relax and enjoy the story, it's pretty awesome.

I only have Prophicies, and my Mesmer is my favorite character. I picked Ranger as my second, because I wanted to have a pet, but I really only use Mesmer skills. Sadly, I haven't been able to play for a year or so, since I have a Mac now. My favorite thing about Guild Wars was the fact that, if I didn't feel like playing with other people for a while, I didn't have too. The henchmen let you play an area with as few or as many other players as you want. In fact, because of my anti-social tendencies, I played about 95% of the game solo, just me and my henchmen. There's so many different ways to play Guild Wars. And I'm super excited about Guild Wars 2, even though I won't be able to play it, just because of the philosophy behind the design.

Actually, for Prophecies you tend to get level 20 about.....closer towards the end. Factions and Nightfall you get it before even leave the "starting" area, Shing Jea Island and Istan. They make it easier to get to 20 in Factions and Nightfall because so many people complained about how long it took to get to it. Imo, Factions is by far the fastest to get to 20. A lot easier to get a few plats as well if you do all the secondary profession quests before deciding on one.

I also play, though not often. I thought they did a wonderful job on the stories, however Prophecies has the most....tedious areas to play though imo. Dervish is my favorite class *squee* and I cannot WAIT for GW2 to come out!

Oi, gimme your IGN and I'll add you and help you out.

Or add me, Kyriel Fyril

See you in game!

Btw, any other lusternians playing? They already released rewards for Hall of Monuments to be redeemed in GW2.

I played Dervish on Nightfall when I had the trial when it just came out. I enjoyed it immensely, but I couldn't afford to buy games back then. (erm, about secondary school back then?)

Would anyone recommend these games for people who just want to do the PvE? What is there to do, PvE wise, after hitting the level cap? Is there a lot of new gear to always be getting?

The rest of the game.

Really though, the whole game is PvE. The PvP is a separete part entirely. It has nothing to do with the storyline. They're basically two different games.
