They don't attack the under 25s.
What? Yes they do. Unless you just changed that now. Happened to me.

No, didn't change anything. But I thought it was weird, so I looked at the prog and there's a check for level in it. But on the other hand the thing could be flagged berserk and then it would attack everything regardless. I can't tell because I'm at work.

All I can say is I've been being bothered by crabs all day and I'm still not lv25.

That is what you get for going into Gaudiguch without protection.

Ah well, there we go then. I would have thought that that would be an oversight, but I haven't exactly got my finger on the pulse.
Furien2010-12-16 17:52:21
And I think that particular novice from Hallifax is just making it her goal to die repeatedly to crabs, as she continually denies any help or defense.
Eventru2010-12-16 17:56:20
They are berserk, yes. There's even a reason for it. (which has nothing to do with novices)
Rakor2010-12-17 03:55:27
It would be nice if they dropped piles of sand we could accumulate to create more desert rooms
Seraku2010-12-17 04:00:49
Yes, more desert spots for glorious basking.

The longevity of the sand creatures wouldn't be as meh, if the serpents didn't seem to break-limb + entangle every other attack. Other than that, its fun stuff. Even that is mostly just tedious.
And, though I tweeted it just a bit ago, the plague stuff is fun RP, but I've had my fill! Ready to move on to other things now. Hopefully the admin are drawing this to a conclusion.
And hopefully, beyond the event to uncover how, the process of getting cured isn't going to be some obnoxious thing . (Maybe keep it on prime this time? Or at least not aetherbubbles? Hint hint?)

No stomach for aethertravel?
Esano2010-12-19 03:30:55
Oh man, the number of aether critters that were outside Cankermore that time....

Yeah, aethertravel is a pain. I didn't bother curing Acrune for ages the last time he got sick. I only did because I got tired of the nagging *peer Celest*

Amen.

Hrm, might be worrisome for those who don't know anyone with an aethership or have the bad luck to not be around when those with aetherships aren't on, but I hope the plague effect will get fixed at the end of the event!
But on the flip side, yay for using aetherbubbles more!

Just put a forcefield up and you'll be good.

Hooray for making bubblixes worth the price!

Skinrot wasn't too irritating. Sand creatures made me want to hide in the Nexus world or Newton until the end of the event. Sleepy crystals make me want to log out until the event is over. If there's another surprise of a similar nature in store, you might see me around in six months or so. There is a fine line between fun adversity/challenge and "wow this has become monotonous, irritating and decidedly not fun." Previously I said "I can't imagine many of them are going to stay if they start during this." I'm wondering if more than one will, now. I wouldn't if I was trying to get into it for the first time.

As things have been following a mostly linear progression, I'm pretty sure the next phase of the event is the Beauty Seal one (to end the plague of the Blue Beauties).
And theoretically that will be sometime in the next 4 hours. Sometime tonight, at least.
