Shamarah never reminded me of a merian, it's just the association with shamrocks that stuck. Which seems like an apt symbol for a PvPer, but whatever.

Names that seem fitting:

Celest - Alodia, Faragan, Yevah
Magnagora - Nariah, Enoch
Serenwilde - Tsuki, Elryn, Jasper, Laysus, Xiran
Glomdoring - Xenthos, Silferras, Pentu
Hallifax - Tulemrah, Sylandra
Gaudiguch - Shiblichi

It's funny that you mention Jasper in Serenwilde, because in my head he's still the guy who org-hopped from Glom back to Seren (this was about four years ago, mind). It's probably because he wrote a lot of the original, pre-Wyrd Shadowdancer lore and rituals.

Surely, Llesvelt is not -that- androgynous?
Shiri2010-12-29 10:11:55
Mostly sounds unpleasantly Welsh here. You probably just wanted it as an L though.

Yeah, some months after I started learning Spanish and suddenly I got worried some people would have mispronounced it as "Jesvelt" tongue.gif

It's just Les-Velt, though.

You're learning Argentinian Spanish. ninja.gif

I thought of Asmodea the snake when I first saw the name Asmodea. Forget what story it's from though.

Oh my god Asmodeus the serpent from Redwall. It has been so long since I read that. wub.gif

I use names from authors/characters in real-life literature because I'm a lazy plagiarist.

The masculinity/femininity of a name is about as likely to be defined the same by everyone as it is to be pronounced the same by everybody. No use getting worked up over it.

When I joined, someone sent me a message suggesting I change my name because it sounded too masculine. rolleyes.gif

It sounds masculine to me because of Apollo.

But maybe you were going for that association. smile.gif

Actually, it's just my name! >.> I'm really bad at thinking of names. But yes, heheh, that is its origin! When I was struck with trying to figure out names for my million beasts, I decided I might as well roll with it, and so they are all epithets of Apollo, with the exception of Fata Morgana. I have Averruncus (well, I gave her away, but still), Belenus, Loxias, and Coelispex!

That movie gave me such paranoia issues as a kid. The TV would say PHOEBUS and I would be like WHAT, WHAT. blackeye.gif
