Actually, I'm not 100% sure about this but I think the communication is that it's not forum PMs, it's these little messageboard things you can set up. Ali's been playing mafia elsewhere and it's pretty commonly used now, I think (was really useful in a game I played elsewhere, let you go over the scum logs as town to find out what they were thinking. Fun.)

@Gleip: You read waaaaaay too much into my vote for Kiradawea. It was a typical day one vote for someone random. As for your point on Casilu, why was it even on Casilu and not Phoebus? Our deadline is clear. Drawing the day out is better for scum.

@Kiradawea: "I've already figured out one role", "if I'm correct, Casilu is town" and "I won't say what made me think so yet. Town don't need to know" all mean nothing. You're either going to tell us, or you're not. If you're not, then don't try to be a tease about it. It just makes you look like scum. What also makes you look like scum is "Gleip did make some good points" when his points weren't good. Especially the one about Casilu.

I never said it was a "random vote". I said it was "vote for someone random". The difference is that of relying on random.org, I just chose someone and made some silly reason that really had nothing to do with the game.

You never said that your vote was random. You used a reasoning, a reasoning I argued with, and then you defend yourself with saying that the vote was random.

What I'm saying here is that no, the reason I used for Kiradawea wasn't actually a real reason that had any relevance to the game. I made something up rather than saying "Random vote for".

As to what's happened since I last looked, hrm.

I don't like the way Kira is going about revealing possible information. It's so shady, and I really don't get the point of the smoke screen.

1. If she can reasonably infer that Casi is town based off of Casi's posts thus far, she should have no reason to not just point out the posts. The information is public to us all - we're just not seeing what she's seeing in the posts.

2. If she knows because she has some sort of day power that she's already used, then it would be reasonable not to say that was how she knew, but I would think it'd be even smarter to not say anything at all unless Casi was starting to get trained. If Kira has an investigative type power that can be used during the day, she's just painted a target over her head.

3. Other option is that Kira knows Casi is town because Kira is scum or both are scum.

So yeah, if it's options two or three, I see little point in saying anything at all at this point, and if it's option one, I see little point in being so obscure.

Unless I'm missing another possibility.


I can't really judge rika for her initial vote since the justification for it was no better than my actual random vote on Ileein, who I don't really have any suspicion of at this point besides he (she?) seems to put a lot of trust into Kira's claim when she's provided no evidence.

I'll UNVOTE ILEEIN for now as we're starting to roll forward, and the random vote is always just a silly first thing I do.

To clarify the above: I'm not implying that I believe Casi is scum or that Kira is incorrect. Kira has just given me no reason to believe her claim, and for her to out of the blue claim that another player is town on day 1 with no justification is just all sorts of strange to me.

Eh, iunno. Seems to me if that's the case, you shouldn't have made the throwaway comment about Casi being Town. If Town really "don't need to know," why did you hand us a nugget of information without any proof to back it up? Do you expect us to just believe you because you said so?

I'll ask another question then on top of "what makes you say that": why did you tell us Casi was Town in the first place, if you're not intending to explain why?

The way she said it makes it sound like she doesn't consider herself Town.

Hmm. With about half of the day gone, none have really poked at my radar that much. The odd ones I've found are Kira (for saying that Casi is most likely town, but not backing it up) and Rika (for her odd arguings about her vote for Phoebus). As for Phoebus, I don't think her delaying confirmation that she's around is very scummy; her delay only prolonged the day for about ten minutes. Even if it had delayed it for a few hours, I don't see it changing a whole lot in the long run anyway.

That about sums up my thoughts so far... Right now I'm leaning towards Rika, but I hardly have enough reason to actually vote for her. Hopefully something'll change in the next 24 hours to give me some better thoughts.

I'm suspicious about Kiradawea's "town don't need to know" thing too. What, so you're going to claim you know someone is town, but give no reasoning for it, be dodgy when asked about it, and tell us we don't need to know? Then why do you expect us to believe you?

...I see no point in throwing some "I think Casi is town but I'm not telling you why". That's just asking for a smackdown.
