Probably something like Tom Waits, or Jeff Bridges character in True Grit (but not the normal hippie jeff bridges voice).

Pretty much I always imagined Emilynn to sound like Kelli Ali. It fits her more now than it ever did before the dormancy, haha.

May I suggest that people use the website Vocaroo to give us all a better idea of how their character speaks. wink.gif

I imagine Everiine with a deep, steady voice. And based on popular misconceptions, I imagine his voice having ALMOST a feminine soothing-ness to it that could explain why every once in a while people think he is a manly woman. I can't think of any real-world comparisons at the moment.

Maybe something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xkdrYtFQBg

Its a bit slow at first but the point is made.

Okay, maybe not so deep but I think it meets the other criteria.

Not all of us are good at changing our voices. Plus Audacity is free tongue.gif

OMG I love that series

I kinda think that Cyro's voice sounds deep and commanding, but it still has a kindness to it. He's a stinking orclach for crying out loud!

Commanding is in the inflection, not the actual voice.

I imagine Cherrly's voice is that of Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock, who he gets his name and appearance from.

I'm sort of having a hard time putting that voice into words to use in game. My favorite description I've ever read of Ben's voice is "like a jaguar trapped in a cello," but I think that'd seem a bit out of place in Lusternia... I'm hoping for something a bit shorter and less abstract. Any ideas?
Jack2011-07-26 17:42:27
Jack sounds like Murdoc, obviously!
Ilyssa2011-07-27 00:18:42
Ilyssa sounds like this.
Amarysse2011-07-27 01:16:06
This is as close to the way I "hear" Amarysse in my head: lilting, slightly smoky, with a mild-moderate Welsh accent. Whenever I think of the Serenwilde's citizens, I hear Irish, Scottish, and Welsh accents in my head, and so of course she'd have a remnant of my imaginary "Seren" accent when she speaks.
Arix2012-07-20 20:11:24
said it before and I'll say it again, Arix sounds like Dave Lister, though a bit less nasal

Apparently Maellio is in fact Tenzin from the Legend of Korra, which conflicts me into a split between JK Simmons and my personal choice of Benedict Cumberbatch. Of course mine means Mael is vocally tied with Cherrlok... but the Cumberbotter is unavoidable.
