Tully was pleased Krackenor got the puns!
Daraius2011-02-26 03:46:54
Hey, this isn't the one-liner thread!
Daraius has only crossed paths with Tully once or twice, and has never really had any reason to interact with him. Tully is, after all, the janitor of the basin. A servant. And not even a servant of the Collective. So Daraius sees him as a poorly educated vagrant, friendly enough, but lacking in decorum.
Daraius does really appreciate cleanliness, though, so when he finds the Matrix all spotless and glowing, there's just the tiniest spark of fondness in his heart for a fellow neat-freak.

Irillia admires and cares for Daraius deeply, not only because of his recently marrying Sylandra and becoming Irillia's father, but also because he has unfailingly helped and guided her from her first days in Lusternia. He took her safely through the planes quest in the collegium, has provided encouraging and helpful reviews for each of her stage performances to ensure an optimal debut, delights her frequently with his thoughtful and amusing action-origami messages, taught her to appreciate the delicious pleasures of tea, and in general seems to her to be a model of Hallifaxian efficiency, poise, and courtesy. She wants very much to make him proud and thus tries her best to restrain her moments of flighty high spirits around him, to avoid the possibility that he might feel ashamed of her. At the same time, she can't help feeling amused by people who find him intimidating, as she has never known anything but kindness and attentiveness from him.
She also thinks he could have quite a bright career in the arts ahead of him if he ever wanted to pursue it, but would never say so, after having faced his stony denial of being anything but a humble bureaucrat in the service of Hallifax.

Sylandra2011-02-26 06:54:44
Sylandra loves Irillia. Normally, when she meets young Aeromancers, the exams are standard and to the point; the moment Irillia engaged Sylandra on a discussion of the Wind Lords, Sylandra knew this girl wasn't like most of the others. She believes Irillia to have a quick mind and a poetic sensibility, both of which show themselves on stage when Irillia performs and always present themselves in ordinary conversation with her. Irillia also has a pleasant demeanor matched by a cool composure that Sylandra rarely keeps up when around her daughter. In fact, Sylandra believes herself to often come off very airheaded around Irillia, and sometimes worries she might be posing as a bad rolemodel as a result (though she worries more about the fact that she and Irillia often miss one another in realms - or, worse, Sylandra is busy when Irillia is about). That being said, Sylandra also believes Irillia to be completely patient and tolerant of her mother's antics. Irillia also has a lovely sense of humor and a way with words that delights Sylandra, and a passion for doing what she loves that Sylandra admires and hopes to encourage. Often, Daraius and Irillia scheme together Irillia's works behind Sylandra's back, and while Sylandra grumbles about it, she's actually very excited to see what Irillia comes up with.
Sylandra is also fairly certain that Irillia will surpass her in the artistic nut department. Which Sylandra thinks is wonderful.

Arix2011-02-26 07:12:09
Arix is irritated about the current political situation, as it means he cannot wander into Hallifax and have odd pseudo-scientific conversations with Sylandra, and will now have to settle for annoying his citymates with talk of dwarf catapults

Akui never really knows what to make of Arix, having been in the same organization as him incidentally several times. She finds him contrary to himself, Seeing him as long on willing to take risks to carry out almost trivial pranks, and often being politically "loud", but short willing to carry out, to her mind, the much easier, if tedious, trival leg-work, and she doesn't understand why he won't just limp to supramortal already and stop passing out at the nexus on occasion.
Turnus2011-02-26 19:14:56
Turnus thought Akui was a good Serenguard and had potential to step up there, even wanted her to contest him at one point when he had to go away for awhile - she didn't and returned the contesting gold like 20 IG years later. Then she pretty much dropped off his radar after moving to Gaudiguch and isn't really given much thought nowadays.

Turnus is, in every way, the "old dog" of the Serenguard. Loyal and true, if a bit rough around the edges, Turnus presents to the world a tough exterior with all his grunting and growling. Ev has never known Turnus to waver in his dedication to his people. The old dog has weathered storm after storm in his lifetime. As one of the very few Serenguard still around that is older than Ev, Ev looks up to Turnus for inspiration and strength, knowing that behind the tough exterior is a good heart. Turnus is the only person Ev addresses as "old friend", counting him among Ev's closest and most trusted Chieftains. Prone to calmness over anger and clear thinking over impulses, Turnus is as wise as he is old.

When Rivius first got out of the portal, he was pretty intimidated by Everiine. Everiine was always tribalsaluting, always seemed very soldier-like and overly-formal, and a little bit unapproachable. As time passed, he warmed up to him quite a bit, and has developed loads of respect for him. Everiine is by far Rivius' favourite story-teller, and as a long standing GM, represents something very safe and permanent about the Serenwilde to him. Rivius has said on occasions that Everiine is among the few remaining sages of the Serenwilde. He also greatly respects and appreciates Everiine for sticking to his morals and always wanting to maintain the Serenguard's (and Serenwilde's) identity.

When Mnemosyne first met Rivius, she was a bit apprehensive, having seen Aerys gone through a couple of relationships. But after getting to know him, she realized that Rivi is one of the most thoughtful and caring Serens around, and with a slight streak of mischief, is fun to be around. Her fondest memories of Rivi will always be his hilarious one-liners on family aether that kills Mnemo with fits of giggles (and possibly the infamous mitran hunt).

Mnemosyne's the resurgem master! Xiran likes her and sees her as an approachable and friendly teacher.
Xiran looks up to Mnemosyne while still finding her approachable for questions about teaching Seekers and learning about Healing. Mnemosyne's also saved Xiran a few times. Mnem respects the Fae, so Xiran respects her too. *sagenod* She's a great Moondancer and commune mate.

Xiran reminds Turnus of the typical sort of fae-like Seren that he's supposed to be protecting. A little on the weird side, flighty, and whimsical (but without actually being annoying). She's always running around gathering pixies, fae, or hanging around Ethereal and always goes back despite getting attacked a fair number of times. Turnus wishes more of the non-combatants were like that and did their duties without complaints or attention seeking.

When Rivius first even heard Turnus' name and was referred to him for tips on combat, his ears perked up and he ran all the way over to him. "Another loboshigaru like me? An older guy? He might have a lot of wisdom to share on what it means to be a true loboshigaru!!!â„¢". So he runs right up to him, greets him warmly and gets a gruff "Uhm....hello?" in reply. Immediately Rivius realizes that this Turnus guy is one tough cookie!
So he was pretty intimidated by him for quite a while, and always sort of left him be out of pure fear more than anything, until recently when Turnus has been around more and seems to be warming up a little bit more. Rivius sees him as a pretty cool guy, respects him quite a lot, but also sees him as very gruff, a little grumpy, and emotionally distant. He also can't help but get the feeling sometimes that Turnus has a chip on a shoulder, though he doesn't even know how to start a real conversation with him and get to know him better (which is a weird feeling since everyone in the Serenguard just feel so close and family like).

Rivius needs a cute, cuddly woodland animal to compliment the polar bear, bunny, squirrel, and kitten that already exist as pets of the Zayah family.

Tau resents two things in particular. One, that there are so few Loboshigaru in the Basin (Come to Llaewell), and Two that those few Loboshigaru there are don't seek each other out in mutual kinship. Loboshigaru are meant to hunt and thrive and live in packs, and yet she knows only a select few in the Basin. They spread themselves out, and adhere to political factions rather than the natural instinct of their Spark to come together. Ilyssa is no exception. Tau doesn't know a single thing about Ilyssa, and in fact they probably have not met, but any Loboshigaru who appear to seek no kin in other Loboshigaru - Lone wolf or no - are deserving of no respect from her, and are to be treated just as poorly as she treats Kephera. Were Tau to meet or interact with Ilyssa in some way, Ilyssa would find herself the subject of derision, disrespect, and a thorough 'looking-down-the-nose'
Also, come to Pack Llaewell silly Lobos
Tacita2011-06-15 15:49:28
Tacita thinks Tau is imposing, but in a unique way - Tau isn't stern or the sort of commander that errs on shouting. She is calm and patient and often silent and that is decidedly unnerving. She has considerable respect for Tau for looking out for every Nekotai from novice to demigod, though she may be a little biased because she's spotted Tau making sure that her (Taci's) daughter is well tended to. She also thinks very highly of anyone who has strong ties to their race, let alone those who have the sense to comprehend and understand Silence.
