I for one applaud this extraordinary display of violence, though I wish it was possible to utilize it against people we are sure are our enemies.

For rebel scum must be cleansed in a sea of blood, liberal use of force.

So, Razenth duelled Xikue, and won, and then Arix jumped in between them post-emptively, went back in time, and threw himself in front of Xikue, essentially?

I can get behind Arix's suspicion of Razenth... For now. If Razenth is town, though, Arix and Xikue will be where I'll look first.

ORDER ARMY: ATTACK RAZENTH
Razenth2011-02-25 06:44:56
*sigh* There is no town, there is no scum. Even if you kill me, you just help some other faction that will become scum in the end. There will be no point going after Arix or Xikue because they could simply be part of a different faction than I am. In which case they would still be 'town', but just a different part of 'town' and if a different faction from you, will become 'scum' eventually when there's few enough people.

It would be hilarious if we were all on the same side though.
Razenth2011-02-25 06:50:09
Come to think of it... what would've happened if Casilu HADN'T died on day one? Would time still have advanced? I wonder if time only advances when certain specific events occur or when certain people die, like Casi in the Yellow Turban Rebellion and presumably Dong Zhou in this year. In that case, and time only advances as certain things happen, perhaps there are powers and mayhaps even win conditions that are only unlocked once we reach a certain era in history? Just a thought.
Rika2011-02-25 06:50:30
Romertien just made zero sense so ORDER ARMY ATTACK ROMERTIEN
Razenth2011-02-25 06:51:17
Well, it could just be she's seriously confused at the rules of the game, i.e. Silferras and Phoebus.

I think I understand what Romertien is trying to say. Arix used his power to block the fatal blow during the duel, but he made a bolded post after the duel. So he either defended Xikue before the duel and used another power on Razenth or did something...weird. confused.gif
Razenth2011-02-25 07:08:40
Well, you have to understand. In the original duel post, I didn't kill her or anything, I just grazed her cheek, which shocked Xikue into retreating. After Arix used his power, I didn't do that; instead Arix comes in and blocks the shot.
Arix2011-02-25 07:33:24
I use my ability after the duel happens, and then Tekora retcons the duel
Arix2011-02-25 07:34:22
Also, all my ability does is block the negative effects of a duel, but I assume I can't stop someone dying
Razenth2011-02-25 07:36:14
Well, death seems pretty negative to me and based on the wording in the duel post, I think it just might be able to.

I'm not seriously confused at the rules of the game, I am just not sure how to respond to the situation caused by those rules. That is, our current state of "what can we do".
Sylandra2011-02-25 09:03:32
At this point I'm all for lynching someone and being done with it. Current vote count?
Unknown2011-02-25 09:12:45
What Phoebus said! I'm not confused about the rules at all, just what it would mean in terms of what we should be doing. Looks like just lynching someone and getting on with it is the best course of action at the moment, which is annoying to play because we might as well just ask Tekora to kill us one-by-one via RNG and see who wins in the end. It'd be faster.
Ssaliss2011-02-25 12:45:15
If you didn't want to lose votes, why didn't you use your power in the duel between Casilu and Xikue? Also, is there a limit to your power, or can you use it any number of times?

It's probably safer not to give details, regarding the second question. As for the first, I'm guessing because we hadn't lost two town yet.

I still don't like Razenth's day behaviour, so my vote stays where it is.
Kalaneya2011-02-25 13:21:07
Alright, that's interesting.

It looks we're back to voting based on not much information, though. Votes on Razenth are due to erratic behaviour and votes on Romertien are....because something he (or she, I don't know) said didn't make sense? I'm not quite sure why Razenth's vote is still on me. It was for lurking, but I'm now...I'm not. I'd like an explanation for that, and for the targetting of Xikue.
Mirami2011-02-25 16:38:01
I'm voting Razenth because I trust Arix more than Razenth in this particular case. It's been speculated that duelling benefits scum more than town; Razenth initiated the duel; Arix jumped in front of Xikue-- a power that doesn't strike me as scum.

Since we have nothing else to go on, I'm following what we've (sort-of) agreed are the more scummy behaviours (initiating duels), and noting what looks like a pro-town behavior opposing said scummy behavior. Based on this evidence (More than we've had all day, IMO), I'm voting Razenth.

Does that clear things up, Rika?
Ssaliss2011-02-25 16:55:15
If I may point it out, him preventing bad effects from a duel doesn't make him town, or even reliable, to be honest. It could easilly be a scum power to protect his fellows. After all, would not such a power fit with Lu Bu's mastery along with him being a bodyguard? Although let it be said that I don't accuse him of being Lu Bu, merely that the power isn't inherently "town-friendly".

Regarding Razenth initiating the duel... To be fair, I don't think that's much of a scum-sign. Heck, if I were scum, I'd stay as far away from initiating duels as I could at this point.
