I really don't know where to go from here, plus I'm just all blah and stuff so I'm having trouble concentrating.
Razenth2011-02-25 18:54:53
I don't like how Romertien keep focusing on the differences between scum and town when we've already established that everybody is part of a faction and every faction is basically scum to all the other factions. It's not like eliminating all the rebels magically wins the game. It just means there's another set of 'scum' to take out. With that in mind, I will ORDER ARMY ATTACK Romertien.
Ssaliss2011-02-25 19:15:06
To be fair, I think Romertien and I think the same way in those matters. Sure, we all are part of smaller cliques whose eventual goal is the destruction of the other cliques, but we do share one goal in common: The destruction of all things anti-Han. Sure, when that group is gone we'll all back-stab each other to Nil and back, but until then I'd like to think we're all working together to kill off the anti-han-of-the-day. That's the reason I haven't started going after people I'm fairly sure aren't part of my clique yet, at least.

I'm voting Razenth because I trust Arix more than Razenth in this particular case. It's been speculated that duelling benefits scum more than town; Razenth initiated the duel; Arix jumped in front of Xikue-- a power that doesn't strike me as scum.
Since we have nothing else to go on, I'm following what we've (sort-of) agreed are the more scummy behaviours (initiating duels), and noting what looks like a pro-town behavior opposing said scummy behavior. Based on this evidence (More than we've had all day, IMO), I'm voting Razenth.
Does that clear things up, Rika?

No one had been saying it's a case of either Arix or Razenth being scum though. The fact that you brought it up is kind of strange. You said that you can get behind Arix's suspicion of Razenth, if he turns out to be town, then you would look at Arix and Xikue. This is not how this game works. Razenth, Arix AND Xikue may all be part of the same faction for all we (and they) know. Chances are scum won't know who are in their same faction. In fact, it might be that there are four (the number of scum we decided is most likely to be in the game) separate factions.
Rika2011-02-25 20:03:47
Last sentence was meant to read four separate -scum- factions.
Razenth2011-02-25 20:17:53
It would be sad and depressing if we all were, or amazingly brilliant.

Nothing really to add, but just to keep myself from being considered a lurker.
Stating the obvious, but pseudo-random lynches will be best for the factions with the lowest group members ie. (anti-Han, and now Shu). Every faction is trying for a majority naturally, so those who are currently holding majority will try entrench their positions and in my view, be reticent about ordering their armies about unless they are certain about who's not in their empire. Thus, Mason groups have a huge advantage in this game, since I'm assuming the majority of people don't know who else is part of their empire. So unless something dramatic happens, I will be likely be spending some time trying to work out who's been working in tandem.
I realise this post states two factions which I'm not, but am counting on the remaining anonymity to prevent dogpiling. And will just have to duel anyone who orders their armies on me! Plus the game is in danger of stagnating if no one does any declaring...
Fear me, rebel warlords!

With a 10% chance of death, I doubt two people of the same faction would attack each other knowingly, and doing nothing only benefits scum in the long run. I'd rather we clear out the threats to Han first, and then deal with the business of sorting out whose kingdom is superior.
Arix2011-02-26 02:16:25
I like Suikoden better than RtK anyhow

I don't think it's a big step to say that there's a partial mason group in each of the kingdoms given that Shu had one. I can't say I agree with the 'reticient about voting' since it seems like randomish lynches is the only way forward right now.

Due to this thing we call the 'Real Life', I will be away from the internet for about the next 48 hours. I'll see if I can't check in, but in all likelihood I won't be able to.
In the meantime, I'm pretty sure that what I've said should speak for itself.

due to this thing called 'the weekend', my posting will be limited starting tomorrow, though since I have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm doing, this will likely not affect my playing

Bluh bluh bluh.
I am Zhang Liao, the Defender of He Fei!
It is I who fought beneath the command of Lu Bu, it is I who has won his respect in battle!
My Lord is Cao Cao, of the kingdom of Wei, the only true inheritor to the Han Dynasty, owing to his ambition. At my execution he deemed me brave enough to serve, and I have done so loyally since, I have done so as a leader of men and as a warrior. Under his rule I will wash the land clean of rebel scum, including the false pretenders to the throne.
So face me now, if you dare, step forward. Or attempt to slay me, skulking in the shadows like rebel dogs ought to.
This land is under my protection!

Huh?
Unknown2011-02-26 18:21:56
I'm not going to ask if that was a truthful claim, but why did you suddenly do that? Activating a power?
Llesvelt2011-02-26 18:26:16
I am activating a power, yes.

If you wait for something flashy to happen you will be disappointed, it is quite reactionary.
