Pshaw!
There is nothing stupid about a proper duel-boast.

I'm still getting the hang of this Mafia format, man. How sad is that.
I think watching the result of this duel will help a good deal though.

Pretty sure this is new for most of us.

Yeah, I think all this idle chatter is just waiting for the results of the duel.

The drums roll and the armies part as Casilu rides to the head of her army and calls out to Xikue, who rides forth to answer the challenge posed. The two generals leave their lines and gallop towards the middle of the battlefield as all eyes turn to them, the skies darkening and silence settling over the plains as they exchange a few choice boasts and insults before they finally spur their horses forward, raising their spears as they approach each other at full speed...!
The duel begins fairly evenly, but within just a few scant passes, Casilu begins to falter. Finally, pressing home the advantage, Xikue drives forward with a brutal assault, deftly unhorsing Casilu, whose lieutenants quickly ride out to drive off Xikue and bring their commander back to the safety of their ranks. The damage is done, however, as Casilu's army is demoralized by the defeat of their general, whilst Xikue's troops rally and cheer, welcoming their commander back when she resumes her place at the head of their ranks, raising her spear in triumph!
Xikue has defeated Casilu!
Xikue's vote will count double for the rest of the day.
Casilu has lost the ability to vote for the rest of the day.

Haha Xiran beat someone in a fight.

Interesting, are duels determined by RNG?

Mechanics of the game will be revealed after game's end.
Sylandra2011-02-18 05:59:17
*munches popcorn* Intriguing. I expected Casilu to win, what with her being the one with the balls to duel.
Tekora2011-02-18 05:59:52
Battlefield Status
Dynami is under attack by: Shamarah (1)
Sylandra is under attack by: Diamondais (1)
Casilu is under attack by: Xikue, Rika (3)
With 22 armies on the field, it will require 12 to overwhelm and defeat an opposing general!

Would it help if I said it /is/ RNG-based?

Wow. Dramatique. Although not revealing. I think that, for the most part, scum have more incentives to duel than town.

But surely Lu Bu trumps everyone?
I mean he defeated three other generals at once in the original story.
Give me my memetic badass
(Cue people thinking I am Lu Bu)

I think that's scarier.
I'm not sure what to make of your comments, Llesvelt.
Guan Yu's cooler anyhow.
Arix2011-02-18 06:25:35
I t hink he's trying to convince us he's Lu Bu so we won't duel him
