I'm curious now how quickly this quest can be done. Is there a reset time between completing it before being able to start it again? Assuming things are gathered as soon as they reset what's the minimum amount of time between doing this quest? (As in, its possible to do this quest every 8 hours, or however long it takes).

By my count, assuming perfect respawn camping, no one interrupting anything, and 3 nomad attacks lasting 45m each, the Hallifax side takes approx. 20 hours to complete.

There's no cooldown time, at least not last I checked. However it takes far longer than eight hours to complete. Think Zenobia length, not Mount Dio.

The amount of time you're actually doing something is a lot less, though.

There's not, unless it's shorter than 2 hours.

There is no cooldown time for the quest. I did mine right after Maellio's node exploded.
When I did my second run of the Hand quest, it was as close to 'perfect' as I could get it to, as I didn't have to deal with winter, no one summoned the Mirror Army, I managed to grab all the gila lizards and sand cobras each spawn and the moment they spawned. Of course, I wasn't at my computer non-stop to complete the quest, so it took me the better part of a week to complete it.
And yeah, Rika's right, a huge chunk of the time spent in completing the quest is sitting at Skarch and waiting for the mobs to respawn.

Total tangent, but the first thing that popped to mind here was "Beats the hell out of sitting on Frosticia waiting for mobs to respawn." That quest has scarred me for life.

Eh. Frosticia isn't all that bad. For the Hand, you spend five minutes killing things, then wait 40 and twiddle your thumbs. Waste o' time!
