That is fine and dandy when you have sufficient support. I will be the first to admit that we need to get better in dealing with a choker when we have a few folks present. However, it still fails to address how choke can stack with any number of other abilities and be an uncurable lock.
My point on the second sentence is that choke is extremely effective with just two people (the choker and someone hindering or holding the person choked) whereas it seems the examples used by Sidd for other groupganks required more folks and greater coordination.

I disagree with the second statement, completely. You give choke way more credit than it deserves

I dunno, 2v1 isn't so bad even with choke. One of the beauties (horrors?) of Lusternia is that if you really, really, really, want to leave, there's not much that will stop you.
And many things when stacked together becomes an uncurable (though nothing is totally uncurable) lock. Try fighting a throatlocking TK and an aeon user, it gets bad pretty quickly. All I'm saying is that choke is not unique in this aspect.

Whether you like choke or not, it's a reality. More importantly, you have your own omgwtf skills to wreck the other team, and focusing on honing those instead of complaining is a much more productive use of time!
As far as PK, zergs and whatnot: everyone does it, everyone has a holier than thou attitude about doing it, everyone complains about everyone else's skills/timing/motivation/whatever.
I have achieved Lusternian enlightenment.

Perhaps I do give it more credit than it deserves, but it based upon my personal experience.
And to add to my irritation, Report 549 has come back to increase the power cost of full. I fail to understand how choke can be balanced at 3 power and full is not and needs an increase in power cost. On a side note, envoy reports really have just moved full tilt to being about buffing your skills and your allies and nerfing your opponents. It was kind of refreshing when that was the exception and envoy reports were aimed at evening the playing field or correcting overpowered abilities.

Clearly this means every guild in Magnaserenfax needs to envoy choke this month.

Admins said back in November that they are planning to do changes to Choke. Awaiting them.
That said, perma-aeon isn't hard to achieve with a zerg - plus nobody in the zerg gets massively gimped either. Choke is fine as it is, because it's suicidal in group fights with competent people.

to be fair, a 3p skill that gives a prismatic barrier is pretty ridiculous (by the way, incredibly useful in choke), not to mention it cures up to 5 affs? the 5 aff curing + only being stopped by paralysis (1sec focus cure) is pretty worth it, barrier makes it bananas

Alright, alright. I figured I'd let this go for a bit, and I think everyone's had their say on the matter.
See you all next blue moon.
