Aww why one scythe only? Please add more PLEASE!!! Malarious help me get this through!
I second her thoughts, shocker right?
Please Estarra? Even just one more?
Ixion2011-03-26 05:59:01
Since my 556 report got rejected, pliers are a somewhat less elegant solution we can be happy with. I do think it's atrocious that they are auction arties unless Estarra is willing to break the trend and release them (on par with auction sell cost) as regular artifacts right after at a reasonable price.
Effective % on the mass rune?
Edit: Another scythe would be good for monks to be able to make their own masks.. that seems relatively harmless compared to the rest.

Also, do the +demi weight arties stack or is only one usable (while you're in the clarifying mood).
They do not stack.

Rejecting envoy report 556 only to turn around and release an artifact with the exact same requested functionality is.... well ridiculous.
My wife and I have spent well into the tens-of-thousands of dollars range in the decade we have been playing together because we enjoy the games IRE has to offer; however, I've canceled both of our elite memberships and will not open my wallet to support IRE in any way from here on out. I, as a consumer, will no longer support a company that is so ready to extort an already dwindling player-base.
It's been a fun ride guys, but this is my stop.

I'm mad at the pliers. The planar rune is pretty pointless for communes. The half decent items will sell for way, way too much... Yeah, thanks for nothing. I'm going to be happy with a Cord now.
Unknown2011-03-26 14:10:08
I have to admit, my first reaction to the pliers was, "Isn't it a bit early for April Fool's?".
Gleip2011-03-26 14:17:38
I hope the watering can and pot won't be sold for too much, so I can afford it should it be released as a general artifact. As it is, I can't afford it.
Lendren2011-03-26 14:22:30
Incidentally, the illusions-length thing also echoes a rejected envoy report (though the rune is far more powerful than the envoy report suggestion), and I think a few others do, too. Which makes me think I should suggest my Display Case idea as an artifact. (But yeah, I can see how the Pliers are a far bigger slap in the face than all the others put together.)
Ixion2011-03-26 15:13:58
We need a 1cr auction artifact that's just a token to say "hey I won something in an auction."
The club has already been formed, need an invite?
Nice for city folk, at least a step in the right direction making non mage/guardians be able to use their own nexus.

Now that we have an arti that increases summon resistance, will we also get the counter arti that reduces the effect of summoning resistance on forced movement skills?

I'm pretty much the opposite, there are so many things that I want!
That said it would be nice if some of them were generally available and not auction arties... I'm hopeful that those ones will become generally available in a relatively decent amount of time and thus provide the solution everyone was looking for.
Perhaps I am just overly optimistic.
Acrune2011-03-26 16:46:53
This auction looks more appealing than the one before this, not that I'd ever spend that much for anything, even if I still played. I'm interested to see what these go for.
Also, I lol'd at the spongebob pic someone posted.

They're under no obligation to do anything that's submitted by envoys, and I'm sure the Pliers weren't a last minute "hey that report would make a great addition to our auction".
Except for the fact that the auction is probably gonna get their price way up there, I think they're a great solution. I think somebody said they'd save somebody like, over 1k credits if they wanted to move a full set of weapon runes, so even if they hit some ridiculous 2k cost, move them around twice and you've already seen a return.

I dunno, I always want to be able to use city nexii to transverse from Elementals and such, so I'd be happy with one if I had it. Not worth enough to me to actually bid, though. Especially since it would be really sad if communefolk snatched them up.
It is perversely tempting, though, to blow my entire escrow and credit stash and throw several thousand at some pliers, then cackle. The sad thing for warriors/monks being that I don't think I could win even if I did that.

I had thought about buying out the pliers too, if only so next auction people would take about me like they talk about Krellan.

If they went for 4k credits, it'd be a couple hundred credits or so, I think, more than the cost of switching runes for weapon specs 4 times. Considering that I can think of a few knights who've switched around more than that, I can't imagine a price that, to some people, would ultimately end up being cheaper than the cost of switching. Particularly when joined with skill dormancy.
The return isn't so great for guardian/mage/wicca/druid weapon runes, but they probably aren't for people who do not intend to use them.

Think pretty much anyone can agree those pliers would be nice as a regular item.
I like this batch of auctions, a shame I wont be able to join (well, I will be online and all, but I don't have nearly enough credits to compete! ). Would love one of those censers one day.

If released as a regular artie from the onset I would agree, but having it as an auction artifact first (meaning the price will be astronomical if it does get released eventually maybe a year later) is very poor........ and I'll leave it at that.
