Yeah I know, I'm just bemoaning that I'd have liked to have been there for it.
I'm pretty content with the fact that Glom raids only happen when no one is around, honestly.

We totally imagined all those defenders on those DL, Avatar, Sphere raids.

My only regret is that there weren't really any defenders to try to put up a fight, but then again, this has been standard Mag + player villages M.O. for a while now, so I'm not exactly surprised.
Lul
In answer: EtherGlom needs no defenders, the thing has enough defenses and mobs to defend itself. Vortex mobs are a BEAR but at least they didnt have shrine or nexus powers up. Etherglom has the best defenses of any plane (same defs as seren but daughters clot in larger groups and you can make melds who only break at avatars really easily). The fact chokers were there at all is 10 steps up from what most had.
Unknown2011-04-12 00:30:02
What, it's much easier to get out of ethereal than cosmic, you should know this by now. Hint: archways. Also, mobs aren't really a big deal as you noticed if there's no one to actually help fight alongside them. I bashed daughters and ladies by myself and the only time they became a problem was when there were defenders, as how it should be.
And again, choke is only a problem if the group equalled or was bigger than yours. Let's see the number of people defending Etherglom at the time there, feel free to show your super logs.

Nope. I WOULD like to see their skillsets restored by the admin and given a better shake of things than what they got given by some piss poor envoying. Its one of the reasons, among several, that I left Gaudi this last december.
to be honest, they're not that badly off :| Illuminati alone are freakishly strong still (and potentially one of the strongest classes), despite the nerfs. Pyros still have psionics they can fall back on, and their demesne aren't so terrible. I don't think the state of the skillsets sounded so bad. But from what I see as an outside observer and someone who's helped defend there a handful of times, the biggest problem is the lack of willing people. I still think there aren't very many people who are using what they have to its fullest potential at all. Munsia was an example of a decent pyro, for example.

So you'd rather have the admin hold Gaudiguch's hand? I'm sorry if envoys screwed you guys, but this has nothing at all to do with that. Downtrodden orgs don't get special protections. Bugs are bugs.
erm, have we been playing the same game. Lusternia did implement 'nanny' mechanics to prevent players from griefing an org over and over. One of them was giving avatars and cosmic smobs a cool down period after dying. Admins have in the past also asked leaders (actual leaders not what is in help org) of orgs to lay off another org for a while so they could recover.
I am not saying this is what Gaudiguch needs, for one I am personally more inclined in having people in gaudiguch develop the '*shrug* what do we care' mentality than having them protected.

Magnagora is still waiting for the sweet sweet demonstration we were successful, but so far the bug has remained and not 1 jar has attacked anything at all.. we should have hours of fleshpots attacking without something being raised, but no, not what we are getting. And thats just
Things like this have happened before and rewards have been given retroactively in the past once it is confirmed. Bug hunting on the other hand takes time and those that filed bug reports WILL be adviced when the bugs are fixed since you get a bug report update.
@Eventru: I'm sorry if my bug reports were the ones that were not very helpful, sadly I left in the middle and filed what I knew when I got back and realized none of the people I was talking to filed one.

Esano2011-04-12 00:40:26
Just to put it in perspective, we sat in Glom, regrouping and dropping Avatars one by one, then left when distort dropped. We didn't use the archway to get out.

I meant skillset-wise. I never once raided Gaudi thankyouverymuch and have already stated that I don't really agree with raiding them too vOv?
Lilia2011-04-12 00:48:06
Vortex is actually really easy to raid, if you're not going after fleshpots. It's why Hallifax stopped doing it, there's no point. If you meld ahead of time, it's basically impossible for the defenders to break. Killing the mobs doesn't drain power, so there's not much incentive to defend when you're faced with an entrenched group in their own demense.

For having 1-2 defenders, Celest only lost one supernal. #winning.

Celest is the Charlie Sheen of Lusternia, huh?
Given how much essence is going to need to be/has been wrung out for Glom/Gaudi, I'll take the small mercy, regardless of how it came about.

433 essence per avatar.
Because exact figures are more entertaining.

Actually, we stopped because Prav went on vacation. I don't have a cubix. And nobody else raids. (Though, on this one. People are starting to get into it. Props for that)

I stopped caring about those types of raids (one sided in our favor) long before he left.

On the apparent weakness of Daughters/Ladies:
I can bash them, sometimes even 3 at a time (do love Healing auras), considering there aren't any notable defenders around. As Malarious and Co. considers me to be the weakest Glom, I thought this should put things into perspective. They're not hard fighting much if no player is actually there to support.
