If our city patrons don't come around soon, is there any chance we could get a little divine intervention to get tattoo parlors?

Org Tattoo Design:
Overall I prefer the above design to trying to come up with separate individual power(s). However, if we are looking to include an additional benefit in addition to the above, I'm thinking it should be something that that would not rely on which guild you are in but benefit members.
As an idea, a few pages back someone suggested an xp bonus for those in the same squad while bashing. We could go even further and and say guild tattoos would give an xp bonus based on the cumulative weight of the guild tattoos (.001% per weight up to a max of 1%). Thus, guilds could have a series of tattoos of different weights that total 100 weight for the max bonus (or one big tattoo if they want). If you have the full (1%) bonus, you will get that bonus any time you bash, in or out of a squad. However, if you are in a squad with others with tattoos from your guild, the bonus would be cumulative (up to 5%, i.e., maxes out with 5 members with the full 1%). Again, this bonus would be in addition to normal tattoo powers.
So this idea (or similar ideas along this line) would be a tweak I'd consider.
- Guilds commission tattoos with bodypart, weight and power.
- Powers chosen from normal tattoo powers.
- Guild leaders can ink them (but not remove them).
- If you leave a guild, the guild tattoo(s) fade.
- Guild tattoos should be considered optional.
- Possibly we would have had a guild rank bonus for the first guild tattoo received.

This is all cool, especially the perk for squads.

Not having a parlour is lame keep having to tell people I can't ink them unless we go and raid celest for theirs.
Ethelon2011-04-19 11:47:27
So, would it be possible to make it so the artifact needle would allow us to ink ourselves? This is still extremely annoying having a skillset I can't even use on myself...

artifact insofar that it will enlarge the power reserves by 5% (up to a

Once the bugs with this are worked out, are the benefits of the plex jewels as outlined here meant to stack with the power tattoo, or no?

Yes.
There shouldn't be any bugs with that (or at least nothing was reported).

The only thing I noticed (and reported) was that the powerplex jewels channeling their power into your reserves no longer raises your maximum.

I just reported one. Multiple jewels aren't stacking. I have two and can't draw power past 105%

That bug has been fixed but not yet loaded.
Eventru2011-04-20 01:15:04
Should be fixed by now.

Would just like to ask again, since it looks like it was missed. For tattoo armour, do you just have to not wear other armors (leather, greatrobes, etc.) or is it no clothing period?

Specifically cant wear ARMOUR (robes included) if you need to check, wear it and do TATTOOS ARMOUR, that should only show stats if you qualify I believe.

Yes, don't want naked. That would make Tae'dae Tahtetso tattooists the new thing because they could wield two staffs.

Questiooon...what is used for white?
Lendren2011-04-20 14:58:10
I just asked that and was told bright colored tints would work. I was going to use mostly yellow with a little red. Then I changed my mind about doing the tattoo that required it so it became moot. (Lendren has very dark skin, though, so it might come up again.)

Still unsure why new tints just weren't added. This way works, I suppose, but my mind is screaming at me in panic when it sees the workarounds. Same with Hallifax's spheres, actually.
Lendren2011-04-20 23:50:07
Probably just the old "what about the 3000 old designs in other crafts that should have used blacktint?" problem.
Eventru2011-04-21 00:55:44
That, and I imagine the "What about palettes?" and "We have x skills that use tints, we should add new skills for this" and so forth. It's just an unnecessary mess to get into at this time, as there's alternatives.

That second one is a non-issue because we have skills that use some tints and we're not constantly asking for skills that use the others.
