Welcome to Diplomacy, Game 2!
England (dark blue) - Ilyssa
France (light blue) - Kialkarkea
Austria (red) - Kayte
Russia (white) - Okin
Turkey (yellow) - Ileein
Note: German (black) and Italian (green) units will hold and defend themselves, but will not support each other. Player units can support these units on hold. If defeated, they will be disbanded and not retreat.
Squares are armies, rectangles are fleets and circles are supply centres.
The diplomacy/order phase will last 24 hours. This may be extended if there are requests for it.
Diplomacy can be done in this thread or privately during the diplomacy phase only. No diplomacy (of any form) is to be done in any retreating or rebuilding phases.
Apologies in advance if I screw up. I'm still a noob.
Orders:
Spring 1901
Fall 1901

If anyone else wants to play, you can still take part as Germany or Italy, so let me know!

So Ilyssa. The two of us are alone on this north-western portion of the map, but there's reason no that France and Britain can't be friends. You can have Denmark and Holland if I can have Belgium and Spain.

Psh, but what about all the land to the south you could easily grab? It'd be most secure for you to take that and for me to take an equal amount of northern provinces.
Ilyssa2011-04-19 13:36:56
(So the supply centers on this map are the circles?)

Hello Okin, I think Russia and Austria should be bros. Let me know how you feel about this. I'm offering to help you take over the supply depots in Germany, providing I am allowed Munich. This would give you two, plus what you could capture in the north.
Ileein, Turkey and Austria could have a really good deal here, but I'd like to take Serbia and Rumania, allowing you Bulgaria, Greece, and potentially Tunis.

Oh, but I forgot to add this in, Kialkarkea,
And who made you the sole distributor of Germanic territories? >:?

That sounds useful, as I have no particular need to take Serbia or Rumania at this point. Of course, Russia and I are going to have to figure out just which of us is going to be going through the Black Sea first, as well.

Ilyssa, it's simply a matter of proximity. Yes, I can put my fleet down in Tripoli, but if I take Belgium, I'll have units nearby to provide support in the northern provinces if Ileein gets uppity.

Do you mean Kayte or Okin? Ileein is all the way down there.
I'll agree if we together we can take the western half of Germany. I'd like Kiel but you can have Ruhr and whatever that other one is south of it, I was never good at European geography. The Germanic provinces don't matter to me so much as Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.

Okin, Aeral will be busy down in the Balkans at the moment. I would be perfectly amendable to an even split of Germany. Munich would be fine.

So it is then. I will be taking an aggresive-defensive stance, anyone who wishes to claim our German provinces best be ready to fight me at the least, however, I won't speak for Kialkarkea without his consent.
Unknown2011-04-19 18:45:34
Indeed. Munich is off limits, as is Kiel. However, Aeral, that does leave the question of Italy.

I have the intention of taking Italy, or at least a portion of it. If you wish to pursue Germany, perhaps we could come to a deal. I simply worry about you being along my borders. I will have to see where Russia stands.
Unknown2011-04-19 19:24:40
I'm afraid that bothers me. Control of Italy gives you a position a bit close for comfort if you were to move upon Marseilles. I would propose that until the Balkans and northern states have been addressed, Italy is allowed to remain as is. A neutral buffer state. If you try to move into italy, I can stop you, but not only will that mean you have to divert attention away from the balkans, it also means that our forces are going to be wasted and put us both at a disadvantage. In exchange, I would be willing to support your actions in the balkans with my fleet.

In that case, I will agree.

There's only about five hours until the deadline and I've only received orders from one person. Okin doesn't even seem to have read this yet, so I'll probably extend the deadline. I'll see how we go.
Okin2011-04-20 03:05:48
Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late to the piece.
Kayte and Ileein: I intend to claim the supply centres in Norway, Sweden, Berlin (plus Prussia and Silesia) and Romania. If you're both amenable to this, I'm happy to support Austria's escapades into Germany and Turkey's claims in the Balkans. Yes?
Sidenote for Rika: I was kind of into this game because of the whole private deals, back-stabbing, and sudden twists. I feel like doing the whole thing out in the open in one thread makes it considerably less fun. I'm not gonna quit, because I've never played before and I'm intrigued to see how it all turns out none the less, but what's the reasoning behind doing everything openly?

Only reason I made it like this was because the other game was like this. If you all come to agreement about allowing private deals, I'd be happy to change that.
I'm still waiting for orders from Kayte, Ilyssa and Okin.
Ileein2011-04-20 03:30:25
I say allow private deals, but only during the wheeling-and-dealing phase. I'm sure we can all exercise restraint in that area.
For the due reference of Okin, I personally am fine with that, though I believe you may clash with my esteemed Austrian friend in the matter of Romania. I am going to be moving a fleet into the Black Sea, though it will shortly thereafter find its way out, so moving there might lead to an unfortunate standoff and subsequent traffic jam. Just a word of warning!
