I still think the soulless burned Jojobo to the ground and turned it into the Skarch.
Lilia2011-05-16 05:23:59
No, that was the Sakaritch, or something like that. Jojobo is outside the Basin, to the north.

I want to find out what happened to Icewynderkyl Forest. I know Manteekan screwed with it somehow, but Loranara is from the Icewynd, though when Phoebus tried to interrogate her about it she was all "no clue sorry". Typical event NPC.

I thought that had something to do with Frosticia? I vaguely recall them mentioning something about the ice fae and Frosticia.

They sent the ice fae to live on Frosticia.
Unknown2011-05-16 10:00:55
Oh, so Frosticia wasn't the 'salvaged' part of Icewynderywll-something? They managed to find a nice icy home for the poor 'tampered' ice fae?

They created it for them, IIRC.

I am a little ambivalent regarding Jojobo and Ackleberry with the new Bard and Monk guilds.
Part of me is all "Yeah, fill out the cities want to see how the guilds look"
Another part is "Want to get cities vs forests back to equal and oooh new nature guilds"
Conflicted because one puts off the other, though I would kinda like to see the forests slightly over the city guilds. But on the other hand... Sun, River, Bear, Lion and CHOCOLATE!!!

Oh YES, Jojobo needs to come out so that we can have chocolate!
Ytran2011-05-16 11:05:05
Hallimonks are more important than chocolate. Back ye demons.

Wrong.
But seriously, I can understand finishing off the cities but the basin is kinda dominated by the cities right now and it would be cool to balance that out, plus no matter how much you want you guild, there are going to be people wanting the forests just as much. I don't know how the decision was reached, but it would be interesting to see whether it could have been the forests that came out rather than the cities.
sidenote: I'm totally expecting to see chocolate bunnies as a recipe if we're ever allowed to use chocolate

Personally, I would find it interesting if they came out with only one commune. Having an even number of cities/communes isn't really conducive to a conflict setting...
Then, they can give the new commune Bards, Monks, and one more archetype... Rogues?? - a combination of Guardian and Warrior.

Not really. If a commune comes out on its own, it seems like it won't be involved in conflict. You'd need to find a reason for them to be involved, what incentive would they have to ally with people? how could they be attacked? and so on. Plus with uneven numbers it could end up being 4 v 3 rather easily.
Also without some famazing reason bards and monks would not make much sense, cause the communes should have a coven and a druid guild, with warriors to protect them.

Ackleberry at least has some build up against Serenwilde, definitely so against Hallifax and probably against Celest (see the River Daughter and history). Plus, they probably wont be happy to see their Druid leader from the Taint Wars as some big Wyrmling thing. They've got reasons galore, just need to work with them!

If they could... "smob attack"? both, it would set a nice precedent that would hopefully be followed.

I don't really agree with the rogue idea, but I do think that they should make an option to basically merge archetypes.
Warrior + mage FTW!!!!
Unknown2011-05-16 16:39:58
There is a reason that archetypes cannot be merged. I don't think anyone here wants to see a monk with passive hindering.
