It will still be a jungle/forest right? Where there's forest and a possibility of sun fae... I could still hope there's a tribe of amazonian faelings hiding somewhere out there ala Ferngully.

That would be sad, I prefer my faelings with both breasts.

Last bit from me on Jojo, I swear ^^;. Then back to your regularly scheduled Ackle talk : How about a pocketed/hideyhole area within/nearby Jojobo though? Like Caoimhe Dell, or the Observatory...

Two actually, they do not feel as prominent as they should be in Serenwilde.

Faeling are the product of elfen and fae matchings.
Something about that suggests to me they aren't likely to be found anywhere you won't find both of those, if I were to take a broad guess.

That does depend on whether or not faeling pairs can breed or if only a elfen and a fae can produce a faeling, awkward for player families.
If they can breed then it's been how many centuries since they came about and they're still, effectively, children living at home...
Either way, is it improbable that either a faeling or elfen ended up in the other forests, even if they are not prominent there, especially given the elfen connection with the forests (not singular). I am not expecting special races or anything, but faeling feel a little overlooked, possibly because they are "Glomdorings race"

Faelings kind of have to be able to breed with themselves or Glomdoring wouldn't really be able to have any. We have almost no Elfen.

We have a lot less random denizens than serenwilde in general. Glom just has the opposite side of the spec coin with elfen.

If we go off the help files, Glomdoring, or Glorianna at least, would be an elfen commune because those are the ones that raised faelings more often than not. Unless they bred themselves out perhaps...

Gloriana's dead.
The only Elfen left in the Glomdoring as far as NPCs go are undead and can't spawn children*.
* Without magical means and drugging Laeroc, which certainly can't spawn an entire Commune's worth of faelings, both PCs and NPCs.

I am well aware, however, Gloriana exists within the histories. What it was like would have influenced what Glomdoring is like now, if Gloriana had no Elfen because they kept sleeping with fae rather than other Elfen then that would explain the current situation you provide. Otherwise an alternate explanation could prove interesting.
Either way, my interest is more in Serenwilde as it feels like faeling should be a tad more prominent there than they are. Serenwilde, on top of the other races living there, has multiple named fae living in it, but faeling seem mainly in the background, so I am curious as to why, as it could be either ooc or ic.

I'd laugh at the day when Ackleberry is released and it would turn out that the Glade of Happiness is the Glade of Frozen Despair. And instead of a land of flowers and sunshine, you have a land of ice devils and frozen undead. Lake always seemed kind of emotionally icy and cold in her interactions with Father Sun. Wouldn't be surprise that she went just as mad as a cost for removing Ackleberry from existence to escape the Taint. It'd be a nice theme for Ackleberry vs. Jojobo (Ice vs. Fire) conflict too. Alas, tis just wishful thinking being expressed out loud.

I see their decision as more one of patience, they expect that the cities will destroy themselves and just said... let's skip that part then come back and fix the basin again. When I think of water I see more gentle, but also the slow and sure wearing away that can reshape the earth.

In terms of seasonal matchings, Serenwilde was Winter. Gloriana was Summer, and I don't think we were told what Ackleberry was, although Spring would fit.

Kind of a strange thought, isn't it? You know both Brennan and Rowena were elfen, the skeleton druids were all elfen, most people are at least passingly familiar with the origin of the harpies. In fact, from what's known of Gloriana, no one can name a single faeling inhabitant, afaik.
However, Xenthos has the right of it, in my opinion - Gloriana's dead. Most if not all preconceived notions regarding it should be discarded before approaching Glomdoring.
Glomdoring's spec race is shadow faeling, because Rowena, in an attempt to prove her worth, drugged and raped Laeroc, and got pregnant as a result. The first two shadow faeling were the result of that. I would personally guess faeling can probably breed - they're a product of elfen + fae, which are notoriously fertile and powerful beings of nature. An interesting question is if two faeling can have a pure fae child, though.
Serenwilde certainly has a fair amount of faeling flitting about, albeit unnamed. More than Glomdoring, even. (Poor Glomdoring!)
